Lifty Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Hello folks! So I tried creating a custom NPC with navel and nipple piercings. I created a new outfit in the formlist, included said piercings and loaded the outfit in the inventory of the NPC. It even showed up fine in the CK preview, but in-game, that NPC wears none of those. Now I don't know if these piercings are even inside of her inventory, or if she just doesn't equip them. The piercings work in general, though, as manually equipping them on her via console works.Any ideas how to fix this?
azmodan22 Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 in order for an NPC to wear something it must be assigned to them as an OUTFIT. puting it in their inventory doesnt work much. So go in the CK, create an new outfit with the armor you want, and then in the NPC info, set their outfit to the one you made.
Lifty Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 I created a new outfit in the formlist, included said piercings and loaded the outfit in the inventory of the NPC. EDIT: For clearance, by "inventory" I was referring to the inventory tab, not the actual inventory.
azmodan22 Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 inside the game open the console click on the NPC to select her and type "showinventory" If everything is correct then the outfit should be listed there. I it is type "equipitem xxxxxx" if se is still naked open the console again (the NPC should still be selected) and type "showinventory" If the outfit is now listed as 'worn' then there is probably something wrong with it. My first bet would be the body type.
Lifty Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 I already tried that. Except the "showinventory" cmd, thx for that one. Will test whether it even gets loaded into her inventory or if she just doesn't wear it.When I equip the items via console in-game, it will be equipped without a problem.EDIT: Okay I testet that cmd now, realised I could also just have killed her. D'oh. But this way is better. So, the info stated was pretty confusing. Some of her cosmetic items were missing, some were equipped but didn't show up.For example, her navel piercing was equipped 2x, but was not showing. Her nipple piercing wasn't there at all, though. My guess is that there has been some bad writing that lead to bad/wrong entries. In the console I could also read "Bad Editor ID" under all items, regardless if they worked or not.
azmodan22 Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 maybe you are trying to edit an NPC that is "dressed" by a script. I had that problem once with Elisyf the Fair.
Lifty Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 Well it would be great if that were the problem, but I created a completely new NPC with no scripts attached.EDIT: I finally figured out the problem! I had to create a Wyre Bash Patch and ESMify the plugins I needed for all her accessory, then list them as her master files. It works perfectly now.
