After playtesting Tania the Hermit http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58670/?from version 1, here are my findings for optimal experience. 1st. The best possible experience would be not using any follower mods. BUT, I'm sure you want her silly ears removed, her hat removed too because it clips through Wet and Cold hoods, maybe also get rid of her sfw bikini that is embedded on her bodymeshes. So if you're going to use a follower mod I suggest: Amazing Follower Tweaks and Convenient Horses. When you first meet her, use her normal Tania dialogue to recruit her. She will follow you and then you can use the AFT Make Follower spell on her. After you do that, talk to her, go to the tweaks and gear menus and use the selection that makes aft manage her gear. PROS: You can now set the gear you want her to wear and remove unwanted items. She will also be enabled at Convenient horses and it will give her a horse through that mod and the dialogue options as well. All her AI still works (healing, animations, custom dialogue tree). CONS: If you use her gift system, you won't be able to talk to her permanently. BUT there is a fix for it. Use the AFT Make Follower spell on her to remove her from AFT. Once removed she equips a leather armor set instead of her initial clothes, which means if you want her to wear those (which makes putting her in AFT silly the first place), you'd have to use console commands or craft them. The bright side is you can now talk to her again and re-make her an AFT follower.
