Leito86 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 For some reason, Havok Content Tools for Max has stopped exporting for me. Prior to today, I've been able to successfully export and test a few animations. I've attached the log that the HCT manager spits out. I'm using 2012 with HCT 2011.3.0 and I'm using this to animate with. I'm following the tut by xp32 and aeon with the modifed Write to Platform requirement for 2012. Any help would be appreciated.
blabba Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Your export path is too long. Havok Content Tools has this retarded bug where it can't export successfully to a filepath that's too long or has weird characters in it. Your 100% guaranteed to to export the file within the root directory of where you installed 3dsMax though. (try that, bit of a pain in the ass but meh.)
Leito86 Posted November 15, 2014 Author Posted November 15, 2014 Yep, that seemed to have done the trick. You're awesome blabba Thanks!
Leito86 Posted November 15, 2014 Author Posted November 15, 2014 Hey blabba, do you know how to fix/prevent fingers crumpling during custom animations? I read something about resetting stretch and scale under bone properties, but haven't had much luck.
blabba Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I don't, all I can suggest is make sure your skinning and animating to a proper skeleton. (Unfortunately the stuff you linked have terrible outdated skeletons that are not at all up to date with XPMSE 2.14) However, a more intrepid user of nifskope has figured out how to fix any animations skeleton deformations even if they were exported with broken skeletons: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/37848-squishedcrachedshortfat-fingers-solved/
