Oblivion optimised, ouaaaah !

Hi guys, it's me again.

 

I'm shocked, i fixed my old computer with a new electric supply, then I copy my Oblivion (ultra optimized for my laptop, 512x512 max for the textures XD) on my HDD. I used to backup the full textures folder before to resize it with Textures Optimizer in 2048max.

 

And now, the game on my old computer runs in full graphics (HDR and shader3 in the ini file... and some other tweaks) without any stutter. In fact, when Oblivion is stuttering, it's just a question of mods... So, now, I don't have any problem. FPS slow down when there are too much people in th place, but that's all.

 

Even in fight, there is no really FPS loss due to GBRsAntiCTD and OSR4.0... I'm happy, I'm playing in 720p full effects on a computer who is 10 years old !

 

There is the config :

Athlon AMD64x2 (OC 2.5ghz)

Radeon HD 6450 (1GB)

4GB RAM DDR2 (A long time ago, that was the top of the top... Now, it's useless !)

 

And that's horse shit runs Oblivion in 720p with full shaders... XD

 

(Do you think he could survive to Skyrim ? )

 

PS : The mod which mades me stuttering was CM Partners, I replaced it by CM Companions ^^

You will have a lot of problems with skyrim once you get all the texture overhauls installed. You can get enb going which handles texture memory as well as better looking graphics but still it will be a problem.

 

Wait until feb next year and all the current video cards might be replaced by new tech so the current video cards now will be considered old then and be cheaper. Also anything older than current cards will get cheaper then too.

 

Skyrim quests really sucks actually, one of the worst things is dark brotherhood quests and those dam reiklings otherwise known as ewoks!

 

Just getting skyrim to stop stuttering permenantly is hard enough to do, then to get the mods to work right is even harder to do.

In fact, I found the Oblivion base heavier than Skyrim...

 

That's it, Skyrim goes in High by itself, and I play since 10 minutes, and I don't have any problem of stuttering... Ok, I well tell you more since I will go out the first level ^^

But for what I saw, there is not a big difference with my X360 version of the game. I'm look for all "optimisations" of the game I can found, my computer is not powerfull enough to put it on full HD, so I will split textures to fit 720p and to get more FPS. ^^

 

But I'm really shocked, since I want to rebuild a computer, my old one gives all it got ! Oblivion in full, it wasn't at all what I got first !

 

EDIT : Oh my god, Skyrim full supports the X360 controller ! ^^

 

Does it works with the Sexlab ?

Ah but then comes the stuttering when you get indoors but not outdoors and or stuttering outdoors but not indoors. Not to mention all the enb tweaking and different enb mods out there because one cave will be too dark and another cave too bright and when all caves are just right, the rest of the game is too dark or too bright.

 

Ideal video card is 4gb ram card, some textures are uncompressed to get rid of that pixelated look that comes from compression. When you load uncompressed textures into vram they eat up the vram so enb mod that manages vram to system ram has to be used but even that gives out after a while and you have to restart the game or pc even.

 

Magic system sucks in skyrim, takes forever to get powerful and even then you are not that powerful. I learned the most powerful lightning spell, the one that looks like dragonball z magic lol and even that took a long time to kill one dwarven centurion in a quest in dragonborn dlc.

 

Female body replacers are great in skyrim but male body replacers have problems, sos light mod which is what I use and contributed to a while back, has issues when scaling certain bones to make things bigger. I am just kinda waiting for some new male body replacer to come out for skyrim to see if it is better but by the time that happens there will probably be another elderscrolls game out.

Half of the stuff to get Skyrim to work properly , lies within .ini files. + your GPU settings 

 

It might take a while but once you done IT, Skyrim runs flawless.

 

In my example. Im still using an old intel duo core 2,4k , gts 450 1kvram, 4k ram and I can play skyrim at 50-60 fps in the wilds ( 30-60 towns ). Doh , that pc rig is 6 years old.

Im using custom HD lite textures. >mix between 1024 and 2048, nearly everything i have optimized to dxt1 not counting my character becouse i use rgbs to maintain the highest quality possible. I use bodychanger so i dont need to worry about random npcs draining muhh fps.

 

So I don't get any black textures or crashes oom. I use around 100 plugins, half of them are armors the rest alters the enviroiment, combat , perks etc.

If you add mods like interior optimalizations mods or grass modifications and try to avoid installing too many scripted mods, you are okay.

 

I also use ENB + sweetfx, though I have 2 enbs. 1 for playthrough that gives me 0 fps loss and the other one for screenies. Huh lowers my fps to 20. 

Force FXXA through sweetFX becouse ENBs are horrible and drain too much fps. Well mostly I use enb just to get a colour pallete , otherwise its kinda useless.

 

When I was playing Oblivion if i remember correcly , with obge it ran way better than skyrim, even with the shadows maxed out -__-

I don't want to run the game with full mods graphics to play in 4k... I can't see either differences between 720p and 1080P ! 4GB card ? Come on, do you look the price ? I don't want to spend 400$ in a graphics card, at that price, I'd rather to buy the One to play GTAO in FPS mode

Can you explain further please ? It's a tweak in the ini file ?

 

And what's the point with OBGE on Oblivion ? It makes the game run better ? I didn't catch that, some links or tutorials ? =°)

 

(That's the contrast between Skyrim and Oblivion... Oblivion is faster inside places, and Skyrim outside ! The Bethesda's logic...)

I can run Skyrim FAR better than Oblivion. The reason is Skyrim has way better memory managing than Oblivion, and makes better use of modern computers.

 

However, I've had a similar issue with Oblivion. My last install got ruined, so I installed again. In my previous install I had an average of 20-30 FPS but in some areas they would go as low as 10 or below (Waterfront). Then on this new install I have am average of 50-60 FPS with 30 FPS in the worse areas. What happened? I have no idea. I am using the same mods, meshes and all.

For Oblivion stuttering, I reached 15/20 FPS up by removing CM Partners... It's scripting action is very bad.

 

(And about Oblivion, there is a way to play with 360 controller like Skyrim ?)

 

What are the important mods to optimize Skyrim ? The game set up automatically in "High", and it's not lagging that much... You think there is way to make it prompt on my computer with optimized textures and things in that way ?

I mean, is there an OSR4.0 for Skyrim ?

 

I'm curious to see how my computer could make it run ^^

 

Edit : With low textures and some tweaks, I don't have many stutter and FPS is stable... I won't buy a new PC, i will just fit Skyrim on mine... Let's go to mod it !

 

That's what is cool with the Elder Scroll Community, if you know more or less what you do, you have an illimited database to play apprentice - or not - compusorcerer !

 

Edit 2 : WTF, the game is almost better running on my old computer than on 360... It's abused !

Why do so many people resist buying new tech? Sell the old tech to siblings or family or gullible people at work etc.

 

Also, bitcoin is coming back now above $400 if you get into some good sites you can make some bitcoin and get new computer for FREE!!!!!

 

The price of 4gb card right now is bad but feb next year maybe even middle of next year it will be cheaper and all other cards below it will be even more cheaper!

 

I have a 3gb vram amd card 7900 series runs ok but amd changes their drivers a lot and sometimes it is worse than before with skyrim. Yes you can tweak your ini files but then comes the other programs that do all that stuff for you and cause other problems like BOSS or LOOT or blah blah it seems like there is five or more dam bossy programs for controlling mods in skyrim! I stick with tes5edit for making merged patch and try to keep a good load order. My main problem is that I really need to redo almost all my mods for skyrim and I have modded all player houses, need to mod that playerhouse in dragonborn dlc it is horrible full of bugs. Probably the only thing that would get my interest in skyrim back is some really good sex mods with good story like player slave encounters for skyrim but I don't think that exists.

-> Because I don't want to pay a Porsche to the bastard who has already prepared the death of the chipset he has just invented by what we call "planned obsolescence"  - ou obsolescence programmée in french - but let's wait Jan/Feb, may be prices could become interesting...

 

I'm pretty sure I could optimise Skyrim for my actual configuration... And what about, for Sexlab ? What do you recommand me to install ? I take a look to the download section and I lost my mind, there is too much files, it's the mess !

That is another reason why I went to oblvion lol the sexlab mods are not the same as sex mods for oblivion. They have mods like estrus, sexlab defeat, sexlab submit and I think a spank mod was made for sexlab? Before I could really get into sex mods for skyrim I got burnt out on skyrim.

What are the best plugins ? I saw they got a romance system, the slavery looks like to be here again too.

Defeat and submit mods have combat rape and dialogue options I think. Animated prostitution mod from joshnz was supposed to be good but it has bugs.There was some kinds of slavery paradise mod over at nexus but never got into it.
