Jean Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 I couldn't find a topic about this problem, so here it is. For the past few days I have been trying to download the core files for Tamago Club (http://www.loverslab.com/topic/13377-tamagoclub-115c-hiyokoclub110a-stuff-eng/) Whenever I download the attachments though, the files in the download are corrupt. The archive is there, but the files within all say 0 packed and are un-extractable. I'm out of ideas on what I can do about it, thoughts?
Leeeeeroy Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 i've had the same problem with some other oblivion mods, and it was my shitty connection's fault... when it takes too much time to download any file from here, the download just stops and the archive comes as corrupted, maybe it's a similar problem, try downloading using another browser and stuff like that to see if it works
Jean Posted November 13, 2014 Author Posted November 13, 2014 I use Chrome usually, and I tried both Internet Explorer and Firefox but that didn't fix it. I'm not sure if it is my connection for the files, since I downloaded bigger files that came through un-corrupted.
BruceWayne Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Those are .7z files. Have you tried unpacking them with 7-zip? Winrar sometimes shows empty archives when trying to handle 7z.
Jean Posted November 13, 2014 Author Posted November 13, 2014 Well now I feel like an idiot. I didn't think that really mattered much, but that was the first download that winrar just didn't cut it for.
skinkfem Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 I've also had problems with downloading certain files including Tamagoclub, I've tested both Firefox and IE for downloading and both Winrar and 7zip for uncompressing. When this didn´t work i cleared cache and restarted my network, still didn't work. When i test with 7zip i get a whole load of error messenges about 'compressing method not supported for "insert name .nif" etc' Any ideas?
gregathit Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 make sure you are using the most current version of 7zip.
skinkfem Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 That seems to have solved my issues. Many thanks
