Problem with Load order

Hello All,
 
I'm having a couple of issues with load order. Biggest problem I'm having is with interesting NPCs and vanilla NPCs either just showing the "...." in place of dialogue, or their voice seems to be missing. Also I figured there are many people here who tweak their load order so well, I might as well post mine to see if people can give me some advice. Especially the "You dont need "X" mod, that it does nothing, or is so far abandoned, noone uses it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, If it's possible to color code specific mods that should be placed in a specific order (Armor, Environmental, Animations) it would greatly help. I am a disabled vet, so color coding helps me see things a bit more clearly.

Not to clutter the technical boards with more load order iussues (not that i havent just done that, My wife's problem has a super elongated penis (giggity) and the flat butt and boxy boobs glitch. before I download the patches, I wanted someone to look at her load order as well, and see if that's the problem, or if she just has too many conflicting mods.

Yes I have Loot, Wrybash, TESV and MO, which I use all of them to resolve issues or to troubleshoot, If I cant manually organize My Load order. Problem I have with Loot, as some people will debate. Is some Files seem to be randomly placed by Loot. So i've been looking at forums, and going by different advices, and I'm trying right now to get a good understanding about Load order, so I'm manually configuring it. 

 

I know there are some good rules of thumb out there, but I get conflicting answers, such as where to place NPCs changes, Followers, and Armors in Load order, not to mention certain DD and SL mods. My wifes atm has some game breaking order issues I want to fix as well. 

 

I really like using the STEP process, But right now, I'm just looking for some advice from the community. They know what they are doing so much more then me.

If you were using Mod Organizer you could just slide things around by simply dragging and dropping (in both mod install order and plugin load order). MO also has an easy way to organize mods by type. And it keeps your Skyrim/data folder clean by keeping mods outside of it in a virtual /data/ folder.

 

I'm also assuming your wife and yourself have two different Skyrim installs? On one machine? If so, then MO could eliminate one of them with it's profile system.

 

I would suggest right now, though, to run TES5Edit and see if there really is anything missing.

NAh, we have a game room, with 4 computers I built. She has the sqare boobs glitch, which im thinking is a skeleton issue, as soon as she's not playing, im going to take a look at it, that and the sex animations end up either having the guy have a stretched out penis, or his penis animation is in his chest. either way, my guess is a skeleton issue. Unless you guys know a fix for it.

 

She has issues updating her stuff, so ontop of my problems, I spent 6 + hours fixing her load order. 

 

BTW I love mod organizer. I've been using it to help with some configs. My game works pretty well, hers is a trainwreck as far as the mods go, I just wanted any advice on how the load orders look that I can get.

Since you're using MO and LOOT (which does work nearly all the time) then you have the tools to tell if it's good or not. The flags in the left pane and warning signs in the right (plus the warnings at the top) will tell you if something's amiss.

  yah, thinking im going to run loot and then look at which mods I want over which mods. can't say that 5 times fast! 

 

I worked pretty hard at organizing everything, Loot Should just take the stuff I did, and make it organize in a more logical order. at least thats what I am hoping. I need to start locking some things in place through MO. So I dont keep panicking everytime loot switches something around,

That was just a Skyproc patcher I needed lower in the LO to convert some armors, though. Set a priority and it's fixed.

 

So keep in mind that even though it seems like there should be a logical order to your plugin list all that really matters is that your plugins are placed below plugins or masters they depend on. LOOT looks for those dependencies and does just that.

In the end, that's exactly what I did. I took MO and locked what I wanted to stay in place, in place. I just downloaded the new HDT capes mod, I'm not seeming to find out what's overwriting it. Just yet. More I play with MO the better I get, and more understanding on what that tool does. 

 

More over if something happens like a crash, I generally will run WryeBash, and if that doesn't help, TESVedit. generally I find the answer I'm looking for.

 

Lately I have had problems with sexlab animations either not aligning right, or being a bit off, which could be my skeleton, and a user error somewhere. That and my Estrus Chaurus fluids plugin. One of my custom followers has a constant gushing stream coming out, and the animation doesn't seem to quit.  All these are user errors I believe.
