Nbay6480 Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Hello all, you might know me as the leader of the Manga Body page over on Skyrim Nexus. I am currently helping ledo4ek on giving the CBBE Manga a massive overhaul that goes back to some of its roots (the original Manga Body from Oblivion). The end result will hopefully be the original Manga Body from Oblivion in Skyrim at long last. It is going to be a standalone version of the body going under the Manga Body - Classic Edition (name not final). There is, however, a slight problem at hand. Neither ledo4ek or I are very good at converting things from one game to another. In fact, I don't even know where to start. Because of this, I am asking for the help of someone who is experienced at converting meshes from Oblivion to Skyrim. You would be doing a great favor to both ledo4ek and I, as well as everyone else who really wants to see this happen. Your work of course will not go uncredited. I am including the meshes I would like converted in this post. If you end up converting them yourself, please let me know by either creating a post in this topic with the converted meshes attached, or by sending me a PM. Thank you so much in advance! -Nbay6480, Manga Body Nexus Branch Founder and Director Oblivion Manga Body Meshes (NEED TO BE CONVERTED).rar
RomeoZero Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 i had converted dmra body long-long ago ( even asked bro Ledo for some help ) and believe me , its not worth it at all.Any slider of BS2 > variations of dmra\hgec etc. Its good using it in xnaLara studio for posing and render but not for skyrim.Thats why everyone ignored it,now i understood that.
BringtheNoise Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 You would probably be better off building a body with the same shape that uses either a CBBE UV map or a UNP UV map. Try taking the CBBE Manga Body and adjusting it in Outfit Studio until it matches the Oblivion body shape. Then make a slider that would take you from the current Skyrim Manga body to the Classic Oblivion shape. Then you could start working on armors to match the new slider. Oh and you'll need to figure out if the Oblivion body would be the skinny or the heavy weight (yeah you can go bigger as long as you fix the clipping).

It is a pain and it's true that in this case you could probably reproduce it through bodyslide, but sometimes it is worth it. Right now I've got my hands full but, if you really want to go down this path, I suggest you check out gerra tools in the modders resources section. First off you should convert the Oblivion mesh pose to Skyrim default, after that you might spare yourself some work by converting a Skyrim body (it must match the Manga body mesh as closely as possible) to the desired shape by using gerra Clothing Converter. If the result is good enough you will most likely still have nasty mesh seams/gaps to fix; the Seam Mender tool should help you fix most of those, the rest you will have to fix manually. Sorry for this messy explanation
