Sailing Rebel Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Can't be too certain as there are a lot of contributing factors and there are lot of mods in there I've never touched. Are there any particular areas / events that trigger these issues or is it just an overall degradation? Do you get the same results with a new game? I'd recommend posting a papyrus log for a game where you are experiencing these issues just to see if there are any particular mods freaking out. The high quality options for RealVision can be pretty punishing. You might try installing with the performance option and then tweaking up - you may find there are a lot of options that make no real difference to the visuals but recover a few frames. Backup your inis and check the graphics settings - be sure that Antialiasing, Anisotropic Filtering and FXAA are turned off in the Skyrim launcher and that your nVidia CP settings match the images in the RV description (the text description is a little ambiguous).
Rayblue Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Also, as I've noticed, very large high resolution textures will cause lag, which requires some optimization with Texture Optimizer or DDSopt (did so after a follower I used turned out to be having A8R8G8B8 textures, and had to reduce it to DXT5).
Alpia Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Well the others stated allready some points I allways recommand this guide http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50214/?it dosen't only help with memory releated ctd's it also helps improving performance overall you don't have to do all points especially savegame cleaning I would not do if I don't have a problem with my savegame, but you should take a look into the ini tweaks and as Rayblue allready stated take a look into Texture Optimizer or DDSopt they are also described in this guide GrassFieldBeta.esp <- this mod is extremly performance hungry I mean I have a 770 with 4gb vram and similar other hardware and can't use this mod properly you can only use this well if you set the density of the gras low or don't have any other big hd packs The grass field is the only performance "killer" you have installed I wonder what density you have set in your skyrim ini files for it since I have no doubts you get slowdowns if you use a normal density otherwise you can defenetly get a performance increase when you use a other gras mod or at least give it a try

Slowdowns generally start happening when the exe for skyrim hits 2 gigs of ram usage, Afaik, i'm using the performance option for realvision, gonna reinstall and make sure. AA/AF/FXAA are all disabled in the launcher. Checked, and set up profiles for Skyrim and the SKSE launcher to disable the relevant effects in them as well. Well the others stated allready some points I allways recommand this guide http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50214/?it dosen't only help with memory releated ctd's it also helps improving performance overall you don't have to do all points especially savegame cleaning I would not do if I don't have a problem with my savegame, but you should take a look into the ini tweaks and as Rayblue allready stated take a look into Texture Optimizer or DDSopt they are also described in this guide GrassFieldBeta.esp <- this mod is extremly performance hungry I mean I have a 770 with 4gb vram and similar other hardware and can't use this mod properly you can only use this well if you set the density of the gras low or don't have any other big hd packs The grass field is the only performance "killer" you have installed I wonder what density you have set in your skyrim ini files for it since I have no doubts you get slowdowns if you use a normal density otherwise you can defenetly get a performance increase when you use a other gras mod or at least give it a try Density for the grass is set to default as far as I can tell, but i'll disable that and see what i get. Went through my texture folder, and compressed anything that was above the size of a 4k image at DXT5 with mipmaps(21,846 kb) Also, as I've noticed, very large high resolution textures will cause lag, which requires some optimization with Texture Optimizer or DDSopt (did so after a follower I used turned out to be having A8R8G8B8 textures, and had to reduce it to DXT5). hadn't checked the format of all of them, just the large ones. Gonna backup the textures and run ddsopt on the whole thing, see if that helps and or hurts things. /e second log, longer, ran to a CTD at about 2.5 gigs physical memory usage
Alpia Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I would really like to so a memoryblockslog from you if you ran into a ctd at 2.5 gigs memory usage rnd ctd's are mostly releated to a full memory block and not to the overall usage of memory. Also I'm curious about your fps increase when you disabled the gras field mod since it consumes 10-20 fps which is a lot for a single mod of course this value depends on the density

Alpia Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50214/?right on the guide I posted just search for memoryblockslog, but if gras disabling did not help and you allready use the memory patch dunno
Sailing Rebel Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 From that log it looks like Proper Weapon Scale is having serious issues. Might be best to uninstall for now. SD also appears to be having a bit of trouble but I'm not up to speed on the mod's current state so this might be expected. Take a look at the STEP guide which aims at producing as stable a game as possible while also improving quality and gameplay. Even if a full STEP installation is not on the cards it's worth looking through to get some insights and what's happening. There is a section on optimal graphics settings near the top.
Guest Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 First of all you said you run Realvison ENB so let me ask, have you ran RV_install.vbe and RV_INIeditor.vbe? Most times when I get stutters strangely enough something I managed to mess up my ini files so try these if you will; everything is on default high settings with some tweaks here--> skyrim.ini/skyrimprefs.ini your processor has 4 cores like mine so no need to change anything except you may want to add iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure=7 if you have vurts flora overhaul and of course run SkyrimLauncher so it corrects your video settings it might want to change things but if it does set everything to high and make sure anitaliasing and antriscopic filtering is OFF I assume you have HDT Physics installed correct so have you installed HDTmempatch? If not you can find a tweaked version here that's all the suggestions I could think of hope you figure it out and if this works you can then of course push those settings to ultra when you rule out everything else (also run RV_INIeditor.vbe when you get my ini files) good luck!~
CSM101 Posted November 11, 2014 Author Posted November 11, 2014 I'm gonna mark this closed, I started a new game with Sanguine's Debauchery disabled, and the new one seems to be running pretty stably. Thanks for the other useful advice and resources.
