Molevalence Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I just wanted to say to the community Happy Thanksgiving. Right now my life is hitting quite a rough patch but one thing I am thankful for is being a member of this community. I signed up over a year ago and never seen such a group of mature, helpful and entertaining people in a forum community. Molevalence
shirow Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Didn't know it was Thanksgiving day.. Well I'm European.... So Happy Thanksgiving guys ^^ ( for me it's a day like the others... :/)
afz53fu Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 It isn't even halloween yet. But you can be thankful any day you choose.
Deathbydestiny Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I'll be eating much turkey and pumpkin pie tomorrow like my other fellow canucks. Maybe some hard cider?
afz53fu Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Crap, was I just culturaly insensitive? I would like to appologize to our Canadian (and others?) members. I had no idea that Thanksgiving was a holiday outside the US and made a fool of myself.
Dr. Thang Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Man, I wish it was Thanksgiving right now here too! It's one of the two days a year I get to make a turkey, which is probably my favorite thing to cook because it's so much work. My recipe is about a 30 hour process and it's totally worth it.

Guest Plastrader Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I think us Europeans should steal this holiday! The autumn sucks arse, it's been raining on and about for almost two weeks now and no end in sight, soon if you blink between 11:00 and 11:00:001 you miss the only bright part of the day... Happy thanksgiving to you lot!
Cyndi Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Happy Turkey Day Canada!!! /spends all day being bitchy in the kitchen cooking >.<"

So...why can't you make turkey at other times? They're generally sold all year long.

Cyndi Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Leftovers \o/ Turkey Tomato and Brie Omelettes for breakfast /fatCyndi
Majuko Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 .....No turkey for me considering i'm vegetarian and only eat certain foods.... Guess ill make my own little meal as my mother, father and sister chow down on meat.... *Blehh*
Dr. Thang Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 So...why can't you make turkey at other times? They're generally sold all year long. It's too much of an expensive (by my standards anyway) and long process to just make any time, and besides, having it only twice a year makes it more special! Not to toot my own horn or anything, but it is by far the best turkey I've ever had at least.
