RyuUzuki Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Hi, i want to ask if someone can create texture for female UNP characters to look like in the uploaded picture. I tried it myself and failed horribly. I was able to do the head but no good with the rest. So if anybody have the time and mood to do it, i would be really grateful.
NoxTM Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Send me the files you already worked on and i'm gonna take a look at it.. and maybe continue.
Swiftstep Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Just discovered this on the nexus - may be worth a shot.
RyuUzuki Posted October 5, 2014 Author Posted October 5, 2014 here is the head i made. sadly the unfinished body somehow screwed up and merged all layers together, so i deleted it yesterday.
NoxTM Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Not bad.. gonna give it a try as soon i have time. But no promises..
NoxTM Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Did you use default UNP textures or some different ones? Could you, if possible, give me the PSD of the head texture you created?
RyuUzuki Posted October 6, 2014 Author Posted October 6, 2014 Sorry, dont have psd file as i was stupid enough to never made it. As for textures i used, I used retexture by Zyd but mixed it with original unp texture + different head so i can at least upload those. textures.rar
MonaBabii Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Sounds like a good place to start would be the natural seams of the body, that should be by far the easiest Just a suggestion though to whoever is taking this up and creating it, use the normal maps. That head texture looks nice but the relief from the cuts and stitches should be applied to the normal maps instead of the diffuse, to actually make it look like 2 parts of the body/skin are joined together there. I usually work manually on normal maps whenever I'm making/tweaking something, but for something as big and complex like this I'd probably recommend using the Photoshop/Gimp pluging to create a "normal layer" out of a texture. For that you will probably want to keep all the stitches and stuff that are not the original skin contained in their own folders/layers, and then apply the filter, see what comes out. If it works, making the stitches should be a lot easier as all you'd need to do is create a few monotone lines, and the automatic filter would do the rest.
Vivi Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 You can mark the seamlines in 3dsmax using viewport canvas then use that in PS as a template
kowaretatenshi Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 i second this request! id love something like whats being asked or something like this too
