Vault_Girl Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Hi there! First of all, I am fairly new to this forum in the ways of posting things. So I am very sorry if I am posting this in the wrong section. My Ebony arrows... Look wrong. They look okay when they are in the quiver, fine when I am putting one in my bow. But when I shoot one... The projectile has turned into something that closest resembles the holy grail at best! Here, have a looksie: This is super weird.... Is there something I can do to reset the ebony arrows, or do I have to reinstall completely which I dont want too? Thanks!
Vioxsis Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Go to "data\meshes\weapons\ebony" and remove "ebonyarrowprojectile.nif" from the folder.
Vault_Girl Posted October 4, 2014 Author Posted October 4, 2014 wont that make all of the ebony arrows dissapear?
Vioxsis Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 No. It will just use the vanilla mesh in the .bsa.
winny257 Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Go to "data\meshes\weapons\ebony" and remove "ebonyarrowprojectile.nif" from the folder. but if he used a mod that affects the Ebony arrows, then he can not simply "ebonyarrowprojectile.nif remove! because they are stored in the ESP file, it would error to occur!
Vioxsis Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 but if he used a mod that affects the Ebony arrows, then he can not simply "ebonyarrowprojectile.nif remove! because they are stored in the ESP file, it would error to occur! Well it is much easier to check if it is a simple model swap, then if an esp is redirecting the meshes path.
Guest victorddp Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 She can replace it with the original mesh: ebonyarrowprojectile.nif

I only have the nif file away and lo and behold, there was no arrow at once more.
Vault_Girl Posted October 4, 2014 Author Posted October 4, 2014 Hi again, so update: I tried your advice, but it is still shooting the annoying holy grail thingy. So I am still at a standstill, has anyone of you ever heard of anything this weird? I mean, who would even construct a mod that replaces the Ebony arrows with holy grails haha
Vioxsis Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Then an esp must be redirecting the "ebonyarrowprojectile.nif" location. You should post your load order, and hopefully some one will spot something. but you will likely have to go through your mods disabling them until you find the culprit. Or you could make an esp that sets the path back to default and put it last in your load order to overwrite the mod that is doing this.
srayesmanll Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Possibilities: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57352/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34232/? Also several mods that add grenade launchers, which may be changing the arrows to grenade launcher ammo. However, judging by your picture, I would assume a "python" related mod (Holy hand-grenade of Antioch, anyone???)
Vault_Girl Posted October 4, 2014 Author Posted October 4, 2014 srayesmanll, thanks, it was BunBun! haha... oh the irony
