Vampire Feeding Animations?

I don't know if there is already one out, I have been looking but I didnt find one. I have always thought that the way vampires feed lacks luster. When you think of vampires you think of enticing beings who enthrall their victims to do whatever they want with just eye contact and then ravage them (which in some cases the victims like due to vampire powers). I prefer the sexual way of feeding that many vampire novelists like to write about.

I know that new animations cant be added into the game (yet), but cant you overwrite the old feeding animation and rewrite how to use it? Say you cast a vampire spell on someone to captivate them, take them to a quiet spot where no one is around and drain them a little, or until they are dead, once the spell wears off they are none the wiser, but at least it could be a nice show

 

This could possibly also have an effect on dead bodies as well kinda like the werewolf one but maybe not as.... beastly

This is one of the main reasons i hope the animation files can get modded because i'm a huge fan of vampires, and almost all my characters in Oblivion was one. This is just something i wish, that the sneaking behind throat slit kill move in Skyrim can be replaced by a behind feeding animation for vampire players.

 

With option on instant kill, delayed kill or mercy feed which cuts slowly reduces the npc health, like in VTMB which you can stop without killing the npc or drain all the health. The bite leaves the npc disoriented so you can leave without being noticed, or enslave them.

Aye! I'm sure many feel this way too! Right now the only fix is changing the current one which I wouldn't mind but I'm sure there implications in there that I don't know about.

 

Any modders/animators have any insight to how possible this is in the current state?

 

Also I have been keeping up with the animation thread (though the technical stuff is sadly uncomprehendable to me) are you guys any closer to the fix? It seems everything you guys think will work ends up being another dead end :/ boo

If you wait a year (a say year,because Joel never rushes at stuff and does it all professionally). Joel is supposedly doing his or redoing his UD (aka known as UNHOLY DARKNESS), to Skyrim. If you don't know about UD for oblivion, I shead a tear for you lol. His feeding was probably the best I've ever seen, especially because you could force feed. Which was basically grabbing someone by the throat with both hands, and tearing into their neck with your fangs. Top it off he'll make the vamp system how it is supposed to be. I realize this is the "sanguine" version of vampirism, but I still dislike how its done.

I force feed about two times, and with the music its kinda hard to hear "the sound effect of it" which is supposed to sound like a "crunching' sound.

IMO you will never find a better vampire mod out there, from what I've ever seen. He added quests, a whole new way your vampire levels up in power based on blood points, blood magic, animations of vampire stuff like feeding, and of course sound effects. Oh and you could have a thrall

The vampire part of it looks great, skyrim really needs a "revamp" of the vamp system (see what I did there? ) But I was thinking feeding in a more intimate sexual manner not in combat situations. Like seducing someone so that you can feed off them, and the animation makes you hold them from in front or behind and feed off them in a very sensual manner.

Oh I see what your saying. Well still I'm sure you could probably take Joel's animations, and tweak them to add perhaps a "lick" or something lol. His animations were like they were in Oblivion because of how Oblivion OBSE worked I believe. I'm sure because Havok is in Skyrim, quite more real looking animations can be made.

 

As for seducing, that's what sinbloods vid shows. Hard to tell cause its in another language, but you get an option in the chat menu for "seduce". In oblivion you had a rep with each person, so unless you had high rep with the person, or high personality, you could only then feed on them. But i see what you mean in more of a sensual manner.

 

Lol my character was kinda MEH looking a back. I was just trying to make a pretty boy looking vampire, bishounen looking. Ended up using the blood witches from Bella, I believe. I hope she ports her races over >.<.

 

As for the holding from behind part, since you have a finisher "dagger" finisher where you grab them from behind and slit there throat. I'm sure you could tweak that to bite, instead of slicing there neck. I wish I had havok skills to make such a thing, but I know some people around here sure do

 

Perhaps you could make it a sneak attack lol.

Yeah I would like from behind to be more of a sneak attack and from infront (or on a bed or on the floor etc.) could be for someone who actually lets you feed on them by either seduction or loyalty.

 

And your character reminds me of a character in a book I read mixed with Sephiroth so I think you did great Loved him with his teeth bared.

 

Also, about the animations, just recently someone found a workaround to add animations into the game so hopefully this will be an option in the very near future

Yeah vampire feeding is somewhat boring in skyrim no sound effects like no teeth or ouch or groan. From the front you could place hand on their cheek move in to kiss them then trail lips along cheek till you get to the neck. That blurring effect is annoying as all hell I want to see what's going on not feel like I'm on some type of drug also the fixed camera angles and never getting to see different views sucks. At least on good thing has been done that I like and that is the female vampires have fangs mod so now they have fangs instead on nothing. Now if we can just get the maker of the puppet mod to add a few new face expressions to show off the female vampire fangs.

Belua Sanguinaire is a pretty good vampire overhaul but sadly nothing sexual to it. There is a seductive power that commands your target to go to sleep so you can feed easier. Hopefully someone will get something going though. Do you have any image examples of what you're looking for?

Some of those like better vampires can screw up your game pertaining to the vampire lord part and custom races I used it before and my player never looked like a vampire after being bitten by Harkon no vamp eyes skin color and no fangs showing up with the female vampires have fangs mod everyone in the castle talked to me like I was a human when in human form except if I was in the vampire lord form then I found out from another person that said the better vampire mod was the cause of it and I removed it and never tried another since. I use a mod called better seduction that makes the seduction part last longer mostly when I need to feed I pick a follower and bite away.

 

I know on oblivion they had vampire bite sounds many sucked some didn't one was so long and so quiet I was already back at the door ready to leave and it was still playing ended up just making my own by taking the npc pant sound wav and fusing it to itself so that it was 2 pants for my feeding sound effect. This is the female vampires have fangs mod. I also use this one which could really really make being a vampire lord more enjoyable (IE) you do not LOOK like a ugly ass troll but actually transform into vampire lord form but looks like your player instead of the vampire lord skin the name of the mod is Better Vampire Lord Transformation.

I'm using Better Vampires, Royal Bloodline, Predator Vision and Bat Travel and they all work fine.

Even with the patch from the updated Race-Compatibility, Better Vampires doesn't have the race-change for custom races, I think. There are some other Vampire-Overhauls that don't change the Vampire-Quest and should work with custom races, but all the newer Vampire-Overhauls I know change that quest and basicly cause the compatibility-problems on their own.

Using http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24168 with Better Vampires on my custom race and had absolutely no problems at all. Some custom races don't even have a vampire equivalent so you ofc can't turn into one but that's neither the fault of Better Vampires nor RaceCompatibility. And if it still doesn't work for your race you can always just load it in the CK and add Vampire and ActorTypeUndead to the Keywords (you definitely get the fangs if you have http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/22522 , not sure if the face changes too but who wants that ugly ass vampire face anyway?).

Best vampire mod for Skyrim I've ever seen is Vampiric Thirst http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24222. It is quite complex and contains several new feeding animations.
