If the the new engine, is fully fixed, no bugs left and well optimized, new mods made for it, will be infinite better then oblivion. But they have been praising the new engine. Glad they dumped the Gamebryo engine. Still, this mod looks pretty damn good for running on that engine. It looks like a totally different game. I can't believe mods like this are released for free. With all that work put in to it, what is their angle? I would never, in a million years, spend that much time and effort on something that wouldn't make me any money. But that's just me: a money-grubbing whore!

Visually, this is probably known that the Gamebyro engine has been quite modular BUT it still can't disguise the fact that it is an old engine underneath (and single threaded that can't work on current CPUs). If it has inherited the Oblivion files as Nehrim and others have done, then I'm a bit deflated. The only hope I have is that they have done something to the core engine to enable multi-core, similar to the functions done by Fallout. Until they come out and say that, I'm not buying into this mod.

I have to agree to quite an extent that I'm also somewhat hesitant due to the gamebryo engine's inability to perform multiprocessing, which is quite a bottleneck on newer platforms. Heck, let's not even mention multiprocessing, I'd be happy if they could find just some way to improve the engine's multi-threading capabilities on a single processor; because I'm honestly quite tired of getting a higher FPS with The Witcher 2 or Crysis 2 as compared to Oblivion on 2x AA. However, all that having been said, I'm also eagerly anticipating this mod. There's something about the charm of these overhauls and conversions that can't be found elsewhere for me.
