StrifeRaZoR Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Heyo! New here! Figured I'd start my first post with "it broke". I no feex yet. Anytime I attempt to download a file (was working fine yesterday and the day before) I receive this message after the 30 second countdown: "Sorry, you don't have permission for that! You have exceeded the maximum amount of bandwidth allotted to you by the administrator for the day. [#10857]" I did some research and perused the rules, regulations, and all that important jazz, but nothing about a bandwidth limit for users was mentioned. I'm going to chalk this up to the recent website update (and possible DNS switcheroo that happened). I have tried different browsers, and after taking a shower to wash the filth of Internet Explorer off of my body, this error continues to plague me. Even disabling any Chrome extensions, clearing history, restarting system, flushing IP address, flushing DNS, resetting the winsock stack, and making sure my refridgerator is, indeed, plugged in...still no success. I'm hoping this is an isolated issue so that I can solve it fairly easily. Any help is appreciated! PS. Love the site! Will be a regular member from here on out Edit: It works now. I also noticed that the error only popped up when I attempted to download files over 5mb. Go figure
ButchDiavolo Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Have you checked if the light goes out after you close the refridgerators door? (sorry couldn't resist) OT: alas, I don't know a solution to this problem. One of the site administrators will have to look at it for you.

I don't believe I hit the limit, because it somehow fixed itself within an hour or so. At least, I hope I didn't hit the limit. I estimate about 200-300MB of downloading done before I got the message. I'll mark it as answered, but thanks for the confirmation that there actually IS a bandwidth limit. I'll be sure to restrain myself in the future.
