Odd band appearing round eyes or over head

I'm not sure what's causing this, beyond noticing it appears to happen if I change my headgear. I'd post a screen shot but sadly I can't so you'll have to go on a a feeble verbal description.

At some point in the game, I get a band of something appearing round the head at about eye level. It remains static with some part of the body so if the head moves forward or backward or sideways bits of it disappear into the head and other bits reappear out. The only time this changes is when I sit on a horse. Then the band shoots about 20 feet into the air and bobs along at about tree level.

It's been happening for some time and I have no idea what might be causing it. I'm using a CBBE slim body and the XPMS32 skeleton variant that you get from the downloads section here.

ANy help or suggestions would be gratefully received.

1. This should of been posted in the http://www.loverslab.com/forum/39-skyrim-technical-support/ and not the LL general support thread as the general support thread has nothing to do with your game that you are having problems with that is why they have support threads for each game in their designated areas.

You can't post pics ATM moment because you are a new member post a few times in other threads like the http://www.loverslab.com/forum/12-big-board-of-fun/ to get your thread post count up. It is a spam prevention thing set up to prevent spammers but once you post enough times you should be able to post links and pictures.

Because no one will probably be able to tell you what the problem is or what might be causing it without a picture. Also make sure if the picture is in BMP form that you use something like paint net and re save it and change it from a BMP to a JPEG as you don't have to download a JPEG to look at like you do with BMP's which makes many people avoid looking at BMP's.

Since this is already posted here and you are new, I will try to address your issue, it sounds to me like a video card driver issue, and not a mod or game issue. If possible provide your current load order and computer specifications, this will help a great deal at isolating it further.

Kind Regards,

To Cary. Thanks. The easiest thing to post right away is my PC spec: I have a GT 640 card with 3Gb Ram (drivers all up to date, though this issue has persisted through several versions of driver), and am running WIndows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 64 bit on an  Intel I7 CPU with 12G of ram (all up to date). The load order may take a bit longer to provide, sorry.

And it appears I can post the piccies:

Is that like that while naked as well? It almost looks like a armor piece to me. Have you tried bringing up the console with the console button ~ then clicking on it and then typing in disable to see if it goes away?

If I click it it says it's me (like if I click on any other piece of clothing). And it doesn't disappear when I say disable. I can take the elven helmet off and on without a problem, but if I take the elven helmet off and put on the thieves guild one, bang. And the 'thing' remains there even when I remove every item of clothing and weaponry.

The texture appears to vary with viewing angle but I'm not sure as yet what it is. Either clothing or surrounding scenery I think.

Have you tried starting a new game just to see if it is still there? Make sure to make a new save and not the quick save before doing this or your old save will be overwritten. Could be that something is messed up in your save. If it is still there then try turning off all of your mods and start a new game and see if it might be coming from a mod that you have installed? Are you using anything like a ENB?

Put all the things you want to keep in a chest. Then use console command to remove all items.

Click your character and then check your inventory in console with the command inv

Use command to remove any item that is worn.

I'm using enb but not with any settings, just as something to give skyrim more memory.

I discovered that it's only the thieves guild hood that does this, and it only does it when you take it off. I haven't found any other helmet that causes the problem, so it may be down to that.

I had this at one point after i started using a knockoff enboost on the nexus, the one thats just a d3d9 dll that you drop in the skyrim folder (before i knew what the hell enb even was.) It went away following a reinstall using Realvision with mostly all other mods, and all drivers and such, the same. Sorry i cant be of more help
