Can ANYONE tell me how I install a simple animation?

I installed all things necessary to make certain animations working, but first: I can't even find a simple animation (not quest related, not trigger related, just a simple, standing masturbating female) and second NO MOD says how to install the respective thing. Can anyone help? I'm sitting here for hours trying to get shit done, nothing helps.

1. have patience. Modding takes time.
2. people are here and can help but again it takes time. especially if you are new and not aware of how to do things.
3. Sexlab Matchmaker will work as described on Sexlab's main OP. That is what you can use to test the animation.
4. Make sure you have read both Sexlab OP and perhaps even the installation tutorial fully and understand it completely. If not ask questions.
5. Finally more descriptive info on what was done and perhaps even load order. .. I spend the better part of yesterday not getting any animations and many warnings due to a load order issue that I was unaware of , and I am an competent mod user and understand Sexout and its requirements pretty well. So even someone like me can get tripped up. Sometimes pretty badly.

Mods are for having fun. it takes a very big learning curve .. more so for some than others. Please try to be as pleasant as possible posting. It will get better responses from members. People here really want to help those that try to help themselves and who are respectful.. I do understand your frustration. I lost a 70 + hour highly customized modded Skyrim recently. I know frustration.

I installed everything needed for animations to run properly. I also found a download with the exact thing i needed: a simple standing masturbation for females. I downloaded it in hope of it containing a readme consisting of the installation steps, but there was only a single file within, a .hkx file. I searched on the forums for a while now and tried to follow similiar steps of installation, but can't make it work. What am I supposed to do with this hkx file for it to appear on the ingame mod menu?

I didn't even know that I could click on "support" on the far right side of the thread to get to the thread containing instructions for this. I still can't manage to start the animation at all, I read through all the posts regardning this

The support page tells you what to do.. If you have done this and have a functional Sexlab mod running you still need to activate it by match maker or some other mod. I don't think there is any way to call that specific animation. There might be a command line option but I personally don't know how to do that.

 

In case you missed the instructions on that OP.

To install it, extract the single file provided to

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data\meshes\actors\character\animations\SexLab

and rename it to "AP_FemaleSolo_A1_S1"

 

If that was read but not understood the file you have needs to go in that last folder.. Animations\sexlab. I have checked there is another file there of a similar name except the s1 is actually S1

 

This is more of a modders resource. Not intended to the newer user of Sexlab. The file name are different. the s1 of the original and the S1 in the instructions might mean that the names are case sensitive.

 

So make sure your Sexlab works.. use match maker or other mods and get any sex going on. Don't really matter. ( avoid animal or creature sex for testing that is another story) If that works use match maker and irresistible self. your character. ( hopefully in this case a female) will start to masturbate. click on O key and that will cycle through animations. Space key will advance them. Shift Space will go back ( pressed the shift then space). in animations.

Well, I installed MatchMaker and managed to add 2 spells to my list, one for a self buff and one for NPC's, but both say "fails to affect (name) and fizzles".

You have your installation for Sexout wrong. Something went wrong when you set up the mod. This can be tricky to fix. I would :

• review the installation again and check it. Couldn't hurt to reinstall everything again ( over the original) I have instruction links in my sig.
• if that still don't help.. go and post it on the main support thread with Sexlab. They might have some better hints or questions to ask. I haven't had any problems getting it started correctly.

• there you will find many hints and tricks to hopefully fix your problem. One of the needs is to set up a paperus log. using the skyrim.ini file edit.

This will take time and is what I suspected was the problem from your very first post. It is very possible that if your character walks around and no strange animation issues are happening it is the SKSE that was installed wrong. That has to be installed manually. Dragged and dropped into the folder where you find the TESV and Data folder. If you see the Skyrim.esm, Updated. esm and any BSAs you have it in the wrong spot. If installed correctly you will get a prompt to overwrite the Data folder.

After doing all of this( above) checking the support and troubles thread  and installing SkyUI( required to see the mods and configure Sexlab not for operation) Open the mod interface and find Sexlab. I forget where it is now but there is a "clean " option. Might be phrased differently. Click on that and clean the mod. It will reinstall the mod . Exit out of the mcm manager and let it finish installing. Then try match maker again.

Thing is, I know i installed everything correct because Zaz's Animation pack is working (even though I need to engage the Sybil from "Sisterhood of Dibella" to toggle animations). How do I activate animations on my own while I focused a NPC with the crosshair and go into the MCM menu of sexlab?

All I know is when "fizzles" occur with Sexlab. There is a problem with the installation. At least it is when i get it and from what I have read. However I don't know a command to get a specific animation to run. That perhaps should be asked now that you have the animation installed, and got some animations working so FNIS is working etc. You are very close to getting your animations going.. I would post that question ( #7 ) into the main Support for Sexlab. See if there is some individuals that know how to call a specific animation. Wait a day or so  and then if no answer go to development thread and ask there. ( just in case a mod author isn't browsing the main support thread which they do normally) I wouldn't go there right a way  as you are newer and that thread is for mod development not correction. Now if this was part of a mod you are working on .. then go for that one right off the bat..

 

Sorry I can't really help you further. I started trying to help you since nobody else commented at least some help was better than none.. . .I hoped someone would chime in as the needs become more clear. Obviously this hasn't happened.

I think that this animation was meant to simply replace an existing one - AP Female Matsurbation. Open SexLAbFramework.v159\meshes\actors\character\animations\SexLab and replace the six files AP_FemaleSolo_A1_S1.hkx - ...S6.hkx. I would suggest that you save a copy of the orininals. Then when sexlab plays the AP Female Masturbation you get the new one instead. This is a very dirty way to do this and will of course be overwritten when you update SexLab (or reinstall it).
