LethalInjection Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 So in my epic quest to make my Skyrim the most amazing Skyrim (Located here: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/35373-i-beg-of-your-help-ye-godsgoddesses-of-perversion/ ) I seem to have made a mistake that I just can't get past. I have CBBE and Bodyslide 2, as well as Mod Organizer. I installed them in Mod Organizer and for good measure, installed them in the Skyrim data folder, but no matter how much I use or apply the Bodyslide, whether it's in Mod Organizer's folder or Skyrim's folder, it doesn't apply in game. It uses whatever I initiated CBBE with (Such as Slim/Vanilla/Curvy), but no edits, even the most extreme ones, show up. Any insight would be lovely.
LethalInjection Posted August 17, 2014 Author Posted August 17, 2014 Ah, scratch that! I've fixed it myself! I'm a rather clever little scamp...
Serithi Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 For the record, mind posting the problem you had and what you did to fix it? Just in case anyone reading this happens to have the same problem.
LethalInjection Posted August 17, 2014 Author Posted August 17, 2014 Oh, certainly! Here we go (And let's see if someone manages to google these exact string of words) My problem was that with Mod Organizer, CBBE and Bodyslide, Bodyslide would not properly take the presets that I built and apply them in game. I installed it properly, such as to the Skyrim folder and the Mod Organizer folders, but no matter which version I used the tool in, it would not apply towards the in-game character body. My solution was to create an executable through Mod Organizer (Fourth button from the left. Here's a picture of the button) And from there, in the title slot, type 'BodySlide' (or whatever you want, really), then to the right of the Binary slot, click it, and find it in the Skyrim Data Folder ( Data\CalienteTools\BodySlide\BodySlide.exe For me). Click Add, then in the top right, where the button SHOULD say SKSE (If you have it installed. May be Skyrim otherwise. Here's another example), click that, and then select BodySlide and press Run. Once you create the body you want using the sliders, click Build (The gigantic button at the bottom. You can't miss it.) and it will apply in game. Sorry if I went too in depth, but I know for myself, I need it broken down to child's language. I hope this helps someone.
Serithi Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 EDIT: I derped. One sec, editing. EDIT: Or not.
ousnius Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Bear in mind, the CalienteTools folder doesn't just go in the Skyrim folder, it goes in Data. That might be what was borking it, since it's set up with that specific folder in mind, popping out and into meshes to apply the changes. You could even run BodySlide.exe from your "C:\Users\&USERNAME%\Videos" folder and it would work. Well, not with Mod Organizer of course, since it uses its own virtual data folder and has to be linked to the BodySlide.exe.
Serithi Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Huh, i didn't know it was standalone. In any case, i'm not sure why that problem would exist in the first place, let alone how doing that fixed it. I would suggest going in and manually installing Bodyslide, because my (admittedly limited, but still) experience with MO has not been positive, it wouldn't install all the files in a mod that were supposed to be installed. Granted, it might've just been the mod itself, but that's kind of thin odds that i'd pick the one single mod that isn't set up right for MO, but either way it called for manually installing what i knew was missing anyway, hence why i always manually install everything. Since you're also having problems with something installed with MO, i'm thinking i'm not just an isolated case and manual installation is the order of the day for you as well.

I did manually install it. I normally manually install everything, just Mod Organizer keeps them in order, helps my load order, and sometimes can pluck things from the Nexus without me having to manually pull it up. I'm learning it...But boy is it complicated.
SadisticLiquid Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 it does work trough Mo but ul need to when patch building press Ctrl and place it outside MO and then manually place the meshes folder inside overwrite for some weird reason patch building doesn't work directly on MO at least not for me but the way i said works.

I think you mean "batch-building"? Yes, you can use BodySlide without linking it as an EXE in MO, but that means you won't see most textures in its preview windows. Using that method, you have to hold the CTRL key before batch-building and drag the created folders into your MO overwrite folder. But it's better to link it in MO anyway. See the Nexus description of BodySlide for a little MO guide (that I still don't know if it's 100% correct).
SadisticLiquid Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 well i do have it linked trough mo as exe its installed by mo too but for some reason batch building directly wont work so il need to use ctrl when batch-building and place it outside Mo folder and then copy the made meshes folder to inside overwrite and then it will work it changes all armors and bodies that way
akimaruto Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 i already have this problem for solved this: always run mo as administrator install bodyslide 2 with mo add bodyslide 2 to program list run and enjoy now sorry for my english
