custom race problem in CK

soo i am trying to make a nekomimi race for Skyrim obviously =)

and well...mostly everything is done..

Except i linked the Khajit tail on the Race using naked torso naked khajit etc etc on CK

 

had a bit of problem with bad skeleton being used but works now

 

But 1 problem i cannot seem to fix...

i cannot equip armor anymore...

well i can equip them but it just doesn't show up

I see weapons but thats it  i tried both male or female armor just in case..

all my skeletons are fine and everything works fine until i switch Naked things to khajit in CK..and i did exactly what i had to do

I'm not in a PC with Skyrim/CK, but probably the new race is not selected in the addicional races for the armor you are trying to wear:

Scroll the Addicional Races and look for your custom race, making sure it is selected.

Sorry, I forgot to tell you that you also have to add the race in the armor window:

Try to duplicate the armor and make it only wearable for your custom race.

 

If the armor disappears when changing races could meaning that the race is not allowed to wear the armor (is not added in the additional races) or the body slots of the custom race are not compatible with the armor.

 

Other things to check:

- Is the armor gender-specific (only have a female version, or is male only)?

- Is the body part armor addon priority set to 0 in the biped model?

well if i do this whenever i get new armors im gona have o do this everytime...

the body has to work for every armor right off the bat

Ok, I've been creating a race just now and I have the same issue, I've just solve it:

Go to your custom race window, General Data, look at the red squared settings; if they have "None", the body is invisible. Select the Race that should fit better in your race and try again :)

nuu not that =(

i dont have invisible body issues its only the equip of any kind of armor jewelry anythign other then weapons and my body is invisible

at first skeleton was not working properly so changed body path and now skeleton and collision and bounce works properly

But no i still cannot equip any armors in the game it gets equiped i can even see the effects of it but no textures

i stay nude no matter what

 

everything you are telling me is in the tutorial i linked i did everything correctly

it is only when i add the khajiit tail that it does that

so if i take all khajiit ones and simply add my race and use khajit has a morph it works

but then of course i get Khajiit texture i could change the texture i guess but then all khajiit would be screwed hmm

 

guess ill keep on trying i might be on something now

but ya all is fine until i add the khajiit tail on my body its so weird

In your race settings, for copied data (as per JRCosta's pic) set Morph Race to whatever it was when you created the race, and set Armor Race to 'Default' - that's what most custom races use.

going to try and merge a female khajiit change mod to my esp and try to use his naked thing see if it works

only way i got it to work so far is using all khajiit parts except my head mesh and well i do not want to alter khajiit

so i dont want to change the body texture this way

so i copied all khajiit stuff and added it to my race and default race and everything and it still doesnt work so

 

this guy i dunno why he did this.. to change khajiit face he only had to go in facegen tab and change the head lol...

but he redid eeeeeverything so it might be usefull for me

!!! it worked when i merge that guy esp =)

 

Basically was the same but different in a way

i just duplicated his stuff and reput khajiit to look normal

 

The thing is in that tutorial the steps are ok to some point

 

He made a race that uses Nord armor race

Added that race in optional race in the Nakedtorsokhajiit - feet -hands- tail

then he made a skinnakedbeast duplicate  that targets that race and uses normal khajiit models

Then he made duplicates of nakedtorsokhajiit - feet -hands - tail

Now this addon targets his race and in additional the khajit nord and my race is selected there

then in my race i had to select morph race Nord and armor Race Nord i had default before but i guess works ok

then used that new skinnakedbeast

and it all works now

just having a hard time set the khajiit race back to normal male is missing texture and the face is still a semi human cat texture

 

 

basically that tutorial all it says is to create duplicates of the normal human torso when it should be khajit

is it me or skyrim textures hates gimp?

i am trying to add more tattoo's on my skin and the export settings are all fine but i get this ugly darker pixeled layer after i export =x

 

also why is ck so confusing for nothing xD

i can't even add neko ears has headparts =x i see it on ck but its invisible in game

doesnt really matter since i might just put it has an armor since i might make 3 ear models

but bahh is it because i have no tri file for those ears?

New problem now ...

i fixed it before passing it out on my sofa last night... how i freaking dont remember and of course i had to touch something when i shouldnt of

 

My race and companion which is using my race both will like..

they can equip my wigs  but the hair they already have doesnt disapear,

my wigs works fine on every other custom race and npc in the game, just my nekomimi race it is not working

 

i am really about to have a nervous breakdown xD im so fed up of CK all this is so much easyer in geck

so i am guessing that i have a head armor part or something somewhere that is overriding the default race and arrrff

any help please

ANyone!!?!?!?!? this is driving me insane whatever i am trying i just screw up my esp

everything else works other then equipping helm

 

helm/wig shows up but the default hair wont go away

Ok, so the problem is that the wig, when equipped, overlaps the hair instead of replacing it in your custom race? 

 

The wig should take the same body slot of the hair, so in the wig Armor and ArmorAddOn body slots, select the same body slot and it should be 31 - hair. Do the same is the Nif file Dismembering branch with nifskope.

the wigs works fine it is my custom race and my companion using that race that is causing overlapse

wigs works fine on every other npc or race they already biped on hair and longhair. to default race

 

but i made a nekomimi races and so i added khajiit tails and ears maybe that has something to do..

since wigs are default race but of course they werent additional races,

i dont want to fix it on the wigs since if not, this means no helms at all would work on my race and i want to release it

 

but like a dumass last night i fixed it... passed out on my sofa..

then woke up messed everything up with no esp backup...

then realised what i had done and been trying to fix it ALL day.. and has always it seems im the only person on the dam planet who has a problem...

since google never helps me 1 bit unless its the most simple problem

then for the third time i completely destroyed my website SQL and i lost everything again aaaa

 

so this hair bullshit is getting on my nerves.. i just lost 2 months of work on my website and now...i dont remember how i fkin did it yesterday...

i keep forgetting everything lately...and loosing an entire day on 1 stupid thing when im on the verge on living in the streets is....

only thing i can see is i am not using default race

 

its like.. if i would use a bad nakedskinbody  i couldnt equip armors anymore

so i am pretty sure it is something similar like this... but i completely forgot how it affects my head only

Pleaaaase someone !!! i am still having the same problem i freaking tried everything..

it only does this for anything equiped on the head ...

im so pissssssed i fkin fixed it in 20 mins and i completely forgot how i did and didnt keep a backup esp of when i made the changes

bah nevermind.. i think it is my neko ears that is causing this since i added them has a headpart

i cannot seem to find anyway at all to remove it..which is stupid has fk... i even deleted them and ya.. i cannot remove it from the parts list...

Soooo i have to restart Evvvvvverything just because of the ears...

And now means ima be stuck putting them has a Helm  kinda kills the nekomimi Race purpose...oh well...

if only i could just remove those dam ears from my finished esp..

I know a way, it is both idiotic and retarded but it works for no fkn reason.

 

1. In the Face data tab of your race, click on the part you want to murder the living hell out of.

2. Now click on "Face" right above it under 'Base Head"

3. Then click on the retarded headpart again.

4. now SMASH THAT DEL BUTTON AND KILL THE HEADPART!

 

So as example, my Face was called MaleHeadDagi and the part that needed to die was called MaleHumanMouth (r whatever).

Then i clicked on MaleHumanMouth, then on MaleHeadDagi, and again on MaleHumanMouth, followed by a DEL instakill.

 

Hope this helps next time you have this issue. And don't forget to spread the word, this way is way to unknown.
