using 2 body replacers at once

is there a way to use say the 7B body for the vanilla races plus a couple custom races and use a cbbe preset for the succubus race? want to make my succubi look 100% different from the rest of the women in skyrim.

 

tried making a cbbe preset with bodyslide then installing the created .nif files in the meshes folder for the succubus race and installed a custom skin texture fo the race as well but i ctd on startup, just trying to figure out if it is possible

CTD on startup?

 

AFAIK even if your own character is a Succubus, and it's lacking the proper skeleton to support BBP/TBBP then the CTD shouldn't occur until you actually load the game save with her or another Succubus NPC in it. 

 

BTW Taking a major guess...I think the above is your issue, unless you really are CTDing on actual startup and not game load, in which case you may still have that issue but also another one that's causing this CTD.

yea ctd right after the bethesda "logo" where the main menu music would normally start

 

but thanx for that reminder i did forget about the skeleton i'll try that now

 

 

edit: ok their is no skeletons with the succubuc race it works off of the skeleton.hkx file installed with xp32's custom skeleton mod, i have been running the 7B body for months with no issues just wanted to give that particular race a different body shape without going back to cbbe completely as i have alot of ctd issues using cbbe + tbbp anims

When i modify a custom race, I always just drag over the skeleton.nif, skeleton.hkx, and the female variants of them as well, and drop them into the custom race's folder.

thats what i was thinking but there is no designated folder or place to put them which is whats throughing me off.

 

oh well i'll keep tinkering and figure it out, need to also get paint.net back up and running so i can tatt up my girls they are utterly naked when they are naked lol

I have a CBBE TBBP mesh somewhere in my files. It's honestly easier to be given it if your applying to a custom race than to go through body slide...especially if your a Mod Organizer user. I'll look for it and you can see if it works

 

Your issue though (CTDS at logo) indicates there's more than just body/mesh/skeleton issues going on

may have found my ctd issue i installed bodyslide 2 in order to make a preset toget the .nifs i wanted 

 

good thing i went ahead and made a backup of the data folder before i started screwing with it

Well, you can give this mod a try, I haven't try it yet as I am still on my 1st play-through. But, if that mod really works, it can change a NPC into any body-type you want and probably ended the war between CBBE and UNP......

Create your meshes in Bodyslide2, then edit them to point to the succubus textures. I'm not sure why and I haven't had time to really persue this, but when I tried a custom texture for my custom succubus meshes, I had issues. I pointed them to the succubus textures and it all started working. You CAN have separate vanilla and custom race bodies, but it takes some planning as you have to find non-replacer armor for your succubus because the vanilla armors won't fit right.
