speedapple Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Just posting this here so I have a to-do list backup that won't get lost. I'm making a mod that basically allows you to conquer an island and it's inhabitants. The basic idea is that there are 5 towns/villages that can be conquered by you, and by using the weaker villages you conquered (mostly done by making their leader submit to you) you move on to attacking stronger villages/towns. Finally decided that I can't do this alone, anyone willing to help out just let me know yeah, mostly just NPC designing and town building, already have a rough idea of what the towns would be like, just let me know if you're interested! Considering to add:Decided to make the army consist of draugrs, where you can kinda "purchase" draugrs to add to your army, already have a story in mind for it, but at the rate I'm learning and modding, it's gonna take awhile. Also thinking of adding a different currency, cause let's face it, it's not fun if you can get every single upgrade in the beginning of the game, but not sure how to do that or if it's even possible. Let me know what you guys think. To Do List Find out how to write booksFind out how to create new island Find out how to create custom NPCs Find out how to create custom NPCs using custom races from other mods Find out how to create new factionsFind out how to edit environment Find out how to create up-gradable house/castle/base Find out how to create quest Find out how to link potions with SexLab Find out how to use potions to change NPCs Factions Find out how to add factions to the Forbidden Faction and remove the faction at a later quest Build said castle Build 5 villages/towns Build island Make quest Make custom NPC Make a sequenced to-do list In Progress (70%)Castle building~ Main Hall Dungeon Bedroom Barracks (?) Making it up gradable Cleaning up Adding a portal for ascetics kinda to serve as the "power source" of your castle and your powers (if I can figure out how to do it) Alright Story time:A new ship has arrived in Skyrim, providing passage to the island of *insert name here*. Naturally, the dragonborn, bored with all the questing and blood in Skyrim, decides to go questing and killing in the new island instead. On the island, the dragon discovers an abandon castle, one that was owned by a tyrant with "a soul of a dragon" that used to control the island. All were unable to enter the castle that was surrounded by a mysterious fog that harmed all that ventured too close.... Towns available:*Unnamed village 1* The "tutorial village" Generally it serves as an "easy mode" area, giving you the basics and on how to control an area, the area is probably gonna be a fishing village. *Unnamed town 2* Was thinking of setting this place as one of the more basic towns, but let me know if you have an idea on what to do *Unnamed town 3* Probably gonna be a town set in an area inside a cave or something, kinda like those dwarf settlements. Hence the race thing. *Unnamed city 4* Ideas please *Unnamed city 5* Bamm, boss time, was thinking of making a army war thing here, like when you raid the vampire castle or fort dawnguard. So in a nutshell: You'll go to the island, break the inhabitants and become the new dragonboss of the island. Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated! EDIT: Ok, main base is pretty much completed, decided to take the advice and just use an existing castle and modify it from there, next up I'm gonna put the finishing touches and make it up gradable if I find the time and the will power XD, after that I'm moving on to the towns, which I think it's gonna hurt so bad.... Wish I could just finish it and move on to the NPCs....
Kuロi Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 The idea looks promising. I'm looking forward to how you pull it off
xboronx Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 The idea is awesome. But it is a really huge task, so i would suggest that you first don't take suggestions and instead just build a first test version.
E_Nigma Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Sounds like it could be pretty interesting as long as it doesnt turn into another devious suchnsuch
ddffii Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Sound great, but with a great ammount of works. Idea : all the villages are half abandonned and destroyed. When the dragonborn become the new boss, he can help the inhabitants to rebuild and populate villages (quests, provide matériels, find workers,...).
speedapple Posted August 4, 2014 Author Posted August 4, 2014 That's a great idea lol, I'll try to add something like that in if I get the time and skills
Guest SmartsR4Me Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 This seems like an epic idea, and I'm looking forward to it! I'd offer my help but I've got almost no modding experience.
speedapple Posted August 13, 2014 Author Posted August 13, 2014 Haha, would appreciate that, but I'm still working on the skeleton, starting to think maybe it was too big of a project haha
WaxenFigure Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Have you abandonned the project ? If he hasn't it's still pretty early because the scope of that idea was large which means "time consuming".
mendalion Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Can you tell how this relates to Sexlab Framework? If it doesn't, just mention it, so it becomes clear.
windu190 Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Sounds like it could be pretty interesting as long as it doesnt turn into another devious suchnsuch You say it like that would be a bad thing
s.eden Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Find out how to write books Find out how to create new island Find out how to create custom NPCs There, the obvious choice would be to use the "NPC Editor" ? Find out how to create custom NPCs using custom races from other mods It is "path" related : http://skyrim-tesv.info/creation-kit-tutorial-2-custom-races Find out how to create new factions Find out how to edit environment Find out how to create up-gradable house/castle/base Find out how to create quest Find out how to link potions with SexLab Find out how to use potions to change NPCs Factions Find out how to add factions to the Forbidden Faction and remove the faction at a later questWould be possible (more efficient) to remove the npc from the faction than to have the faction being (stripped) from them ?As I do not see how work sexlab yet (time), no option as to the others points. Still, someone should have the knowledge (or point to a turorial ?).Tbs.
