Guest endgameaddiction Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I'm not certain for sure, but it might not be my GPU after all. After I had swapped my GTS 250 for a bit, I swapped back because that temp downgrade was just awful. I could barely play Skyrim with all my retextures disabled and changing my settings to low in the launcher. I decided to download an older drive for the GTX 260, and as of right now for hours now, I haven't had any problems. If that is the case, it looks like the latest update drivers are bad. This isn't for sure, but I would of gotten freezes and glitches by now. *knocks on wood* I was having doubts my GPU was going bad because that was the only time I ever got those artifacts. It hasn't happened again and I haven't experienced any problems when I was watching video clips or browsing heavily flash sites. Nor do I get any artifacts when ever I start up or reboot my PC.
27X Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Always do a clean install with drivers. always. I don't mean "nvidia clean install". I mean driver-cleaner/sweeper clean install.
