Low FPS

I've been having a HUGE drop in my FPS where it once held at a steady but low 35 FPS even during the siege of whiterun battle, I ow run at 10-15 FPS in areas as simple as Helgen.

 

I've actually cut this down from being just shy of 300 mods and I' about to just completely remove all of skyrim and then redo all the mods, but I'm hoping others can help me solve this issue.

 

Along with that I hav random missing hair textures missing, that come from the skyrim.esm but I was certain they weren't there until fairly recently.

I have run the texture optimizer and reduce everything if >2048 

and I use the seasons of skyrim ENB, perhaps a lighter weight enb would do better for me.

If your game res is at 1920x1080+, I recommend lowering that.

 

With that FPS you should probably go down to "if >1024".

my screen res is at 1600x900 I have a widescreen.

 

Ad es it's the same across all saves. it could be the enb but no matter how I tweak it for performance it keeps the same fps.

Check to see if your ENB has fps limiter on.

 

Turn it off if it is.

they were both set to false but the fpslimit was set at 10 so I raised it. Not sure if it will do anything or not. but a limit of 10 is horrid.

What is your GPU and CPU? You should always consider them into the equation before implementing any sort of high end ENB settings and graphical overhaul mods.

 

Also, don't be surprised to find your GPU or CPU performing good one day and then like ass the next day. All sort of factors can affect the state of those cards which is simply a part of the degrading process.

 

Roughly speaking, I give my GTX680 3-4 years (overclocked) under proper maintenance condition before I would swap it for a brand new card.

 

I'm not a PC guru, but I do pick up things by reading forums and friends who built my PC.

I go an increase in 5 fps so now it's at a solid 15 after setting the enblocal ini file. 

 

amd phenom II quad core 3.6 ghz per core.

 

and an amd HD Radeon 6650 I should remove the enb even on it's performance setting it has dropped my fps from it's usual 60. despite having 220+ mods that is the one thing to slow it down horribly.

Your GPU won't be able handle ENB but maybe try one of the lowers ones, Your GPU is ranked one of the lowest performing card on that list (the list isn't 100% but it gives a good idea of performance).

Understand that ENB is essentially a graphical modification add on to the Bethesda engine which introduce better and improve graphical functionality otherwise it can't do in Vanilla state. That is the same as buying Skyrim HD edition with different recommended requirements, but all of this depend on which enb preset you select.

Well what is your average FPS without enb because the standard FPS in PC gaming is a stable 60 FPS.

 

And the HD overhauls without ENB is only limited to the performanc of the Vanilla engine which is why most HD overhauls link ENB presets that will boost the changes to the next level.

one of cabals texture replacers require any enb O.o none of the replacers have said to use an enb at all as a matter of fact. 

 

But no with all 200 mods installed I run a stable 30 during fights like siege of whiterun, and 60 otherwise.

 

Acually you've prompted me to look for any zombie scripts that try to load up even after the esp/esm has been removed. guess I should completely uninstall skyrim and reinstall.
