shadow2k Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 I'm kinda curious about the idea of a sex mod for Saints Row 3. Of course, the game has just about everything except for outright sex scenes in it, but after playing XLovers for Oblivion, I'm rather hooked on the concept of sex mods for open-world games, specifically those that add a GOR aspect to the game. Too bad there are so few such mods. It occured to me that all that would be needed would be some new animations and some code to tie it all together, but having no skills to do such a thing myself I can't really say what would be involved. In any case, if nothing else I figured I'd post about it to see what kind of interest there might be.

The mechanics might even already be there, with how the sprinting melee attacks work. You run up to some one, press a button, and the animation plays out. It seems like with the right animations, that could definitely be worked in to some sort of sex mod, where you press a button to do the same thing script-wise, but with sex instead. (Consensual or not) P.S. This game is a MASSIVE disappointment. Saint's Row 2 is definitely the better game. I think the only game that has disappointed me more than this is Fable 3. Edit: It's funny really, both reviews and users commenting on the game a lot of the time go in two different categories: 1: "This is my first Saint's Row game... This game is Awesome!" 2: "Having played Saint's Row 2... This game is not as good as it should be." Hmm, Red Faction: Armageddon, Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, Dawn of War II, Saint's Row the Third; I definitely need to learn to not set my expectations too high if a sequel to a game I love is being published by THQ.
Glugg Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 1: "This is my first Saint's Row game... This game is Awesome!" Well, call me easily impressed, but that's the category I fall under.
afa Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I think I like SR3 more than SR2, although I did play the horrible PC port, but I had bigger problems with that game besides performance issue. Although there are parts that SR2 does better than SR3, in particular the size of the open world aspect. I like DoWII also, but missed the boat on DoW after some hard decision making to skip it, but I heard a lot of balance issue with it D: Anyways back on topic, I don't know if a sex mod aspect of SR3 will really be worthwhile. How far are we willing to go here? How much work would that take? So far Lovers and Sexout are based on games with modding in mind. While mods of SR exist, it isn't the same kind of from the ground up modding we have seen in Oblivion and Fallout, it is mostly cosmetic changes and mission reply at best. Plus I don't get too much of a open world feel from SR3 (part of the problem I mention earlier with the game), and SR3 also doesn't have the tone to can carry a GOR type game.
Phelps1247 Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Not just the running ones. The regular ones too where you press RT/LT. It'd be cool for the zombie island and maybe wrestling match but I'm not sure it works elsewhere.
deathparade Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 haha i liked SR2 except the time i could drive through cars and knock the people out... no wait that was funny i ment the time there was this gap and i drove over a street i coulden't see. there seemed to be a bridge piece missing in SR3 but about the sex i would love it although the game is not that moddable i heard
demongoat Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 i found SR3 better in some aspects and poorer in others. the models physics and animations are better in SR3. then again we are talking a game made 4 years after the second game so that would be expected, you would hope. i didn't play SR2 very long the models didn't look right to me and it was the PC version and the PC version is shit. eh i don't think it is fair to bash THQ for sequels though, they publish games and rarely make them. the only sequel that hurt them was soulstorm, and it was a rushed half-ass piece of shit. dark millenium was awesome. DoW2 was pretty impressive it combined squadbased shooter and RTS how many games have you seen like that?
shadow2k Posted February 4, 2012 Author Posted February 4, 2012 I agree that the moddability of SR3 is lacking, however a simple GOR mod shouldn't be hard to add in. As mentioned above, it looks like the framework is already in place (special melee moves/sequences). Whether it fits in the game world or not is more of a conceptual question. Does GOR fit in Oblivion or Fallout? To me, it seems to fit just as well as it would in SR3. Still, in the end it comes down to actually doing it. I would do it, if I had the tools. But so far the modding tools for SR3 are lacking. Hopefully this will change but its not up to me.
Dat Cake Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 The worst thing about it is that they promised a mod dev kit type thing early in the development but not enough people complained when they backed out of it to keep them to their word.
dark0nex Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 The worst thing about it is that they promised a mod dev kit type thing early in the development but not enough people complained when they backed out of it to keep them to their word. I think they're planning many DLC's for Saints Row the Third, a Modding tool would hinder that, because already I've seen DLC's which could easily be mods.
Guest Donkey Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Is there a nude patch for this game ?? What's the deal, this is an adult game, yet they censor the nudy part.. wtf ???
Phelps1247 Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Yup. There's quite a few actually. https://www.saintsrowmods.com/forum/index.php?forums/adult-corner.28/ There was also http://www.sr3nexus.com/forum.php but I guess that's gone. Maybe you can google it and get some of the bodies that way.
Guest Gandalf Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Yeah SR3Nexus is shut down, i was moderator there and haven't heard a thing more about it. Also:http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=6771
lolicatgirls9 Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I've never played a Saint's Row game before 3 and still I can tell that there's something wrong with it. It just seems... tedious. And there's something about the atmosphere that I can't quite put my finger on. It's a shame, because I really like the character I made. Is there a nude patch for this game ?? What's the deal' date=' this is an adult game, yet they censor the nudy part.. wtf ??? [/quote'] I think it has something to do with more parents buying their children M-Rated games, so the companies have been toning it down. Just my theory.
Erena Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Not just the running ones. The regular ones too where you press RT/LT. It'd be cool for the zombie island and maybe wrestling match but I'm not sure it works elsewhere. Yeah, I literally went to the zombie island and let them gang up on me. *sigh* Oblivion and New Vegas got me spoiled. This could be a lot of fun, but I don't see it happening any time soon. At least they went ahead and gave us jiggle physics.
Madmartigan34 Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Sadly without Developers Tools its just never going to happen. Would be an amazing game with Oblivion Lovers mods.
