CTD on Sexlab Framework 1.58b

I previously had an old version of sexlab and so I wanted to update to the latest version.

Skeleton used: xp32 

5.1.1 FNIS

5.1 Creatures 

4.1 SkyUI

 

 

  The steps that I took were   MCM clean sexlab-> save -> remove old version and disabled all mods involving sexlab -> load save to make sure it disappeared from mcm -> saved -> updated FNIS to 5.1.1 (got the new versions for creatures as well)-> updated skse to 1.7 -> made sure Skyui was at the most up to date version (4.1) -> restarted a brand new save file -> ran around Riverwood/ loading and restarting game making sure that my game was stable enough -> copied the newest sexlab framework 1.58b to my data folder -> Updated FNIS behaviour (said Reading sexlab v1.58)-> loaded the game with only sexlab (no other mod requires sexlab)

 

 

 

I think I did what is considered standard updating procedures and when I load my game I see sexlab  saying it is being installed (voice animations ect).   I save after and when I try to reopen that save file without changing anything at all I CTD.

Additional info:  When I remove sexlab it goes back to being normal and I no longer crash.   Very rarely I do not crash on load (with sexlab)and I can move around but there definitely is an underlying problem.   I'm pretty confused on what I did wrong.  I also tried the remove all .pex and .psc files relating to sexlab as well as shown in the Troubleshoot guide and reinstalling 1.58 but no good.

You're most likely missing an important dependency for either SexLab or one of it's mods. Without seeing your load order I can't really say more except to say your Actor Events Framework install seems to be horribly broken, and happens to be a dependency for some SexLab mods.

CTD issues are very vague and varied, saying you have the same issue tells very little. I'd have to see your debug log as well to make any sort of proper guess.

 

But looking at your load order I can tell you don't run LOOT or BOSS, and with that many mods you absolutely should be, and with half as many mods installed you still absolutely should be. Get LOOT from http://loot.github.io/ and run it, it'll also give you any depency errors after it scans and sorts your mods for you, which will either fix the CTD issue or the errors it lists in the report will give you good idea of what the problem might be.

I have zaz's animation updated just in case due to the pillory references but it seems to have no bearing to the situation.  This load order is given from LOOT (the how to install 1.58 recommended using it) and I also used tes5edit to clean  recommended  files.

Although you've read the troubshooting I can recommend to reinstall SKSE from an ARCHIVE,

 

I had the same problem and was using the installer version, after replacing it with the Archive's files (which were a lot more than the intaller had) i am finally able to use the mod now
