Hi I'm brand new to mods and would like live help installing

Recommended Posts

Hi I'm brand new to pc gaming and using mods. I recently re bought skyrim with all the dlc from steam last week and am currently using the steam workshop. However I came up with this site on a Google search and read a lot about how to install these mods but genuinely have no idea what these install mod files really have to do with each other and I know some rely on others but the abbreviations and the way this sites tech support is setup is for someone who essentially knows what their doing. I dont, but would love to partake in what this site has to offer. It's looks like a lot of fun.

So my request is that I could maybe coordinate with anyone willing to help me via live chat or Skype and just help me install some basic step by step so I can get the gist of what I'm doing. I don't wanna mess up the files and then not know what went wrong. I would request a coordinated time to try this out with someone - say Monday afternoon. And that they please be patient with my lack of experience installing and understand mods. I apologize In advance if I broke any posting rules.

My best advice I can give you is go watch Gophers fantastic video guide series to modding Skyrim for beginners. If you watch that and follow along and install the mods step by step as he shows them in all of his video's, by the time you are done with the series you will have a very good foundation of understanding how to mod skyrim.

Then if you have questions, comments etc come back and ask away. It will be a lot easier for you and for us. Since if you watch the video series and we ask you to show us your FNIS output you will know what we are asking. Just easier for everyone and it is a great series, I don't think many of us could do a better job teach you the basics than that video series does.

You can find the video series here.

Thats basically your answer, Gopher is fantastic at making guide videos so you should'nt have too much trouble. Just follow what he does then come back here for the rest. ;)
