OpheliacRoses Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Hello I started "playing"(mods 8hours plays for 10mins) Skyrim Last week and fell in love with it after seeing all the cool mods on MMOxReview YouTube channel. I quickly became with obsessed moding out my Skyrim and reached the 255 limit after which I Instantly uninstalled Mod manger and learn about wayne bash, TES5Edit, BOSS (I only used LOOT before), and Mod Organizer. Mod Organizer is like the best hands down. After going deeper with mods and using the sex mods on this site I started running into some problems I haven't found answers for thru google, I will post my silly questions below and ill update my questions as they come if I'm allowed too >.< 1. How do I get UNP Body working with all the cool physics and textures, My nipple on unp textures are allways right above my areolas and not fitting right, then sometimes I also get a glitch around my hips. Does Bodyslide 2 Install CBBE Body and take off my unp body? 2. I wanted ask does the order I install mods from the download tab matter, and the order I enable them on the left matter. 3. Can I have a list of good mods to get thatshelpful like unequip quiver and help my skyrim be more real like the frostfall mods and realistic needs and diseases. Everytime I feel like I found them all I find something else x3 4. I'm pretty much trying to make Skyrim super realistic but fun. I also want to become a vampire down the line so I'm getting all the cool vampire mods…that’s all I really want besides sex mods >//> I want to be able to have sex not sure if I should get them I don’t wanna see everyone getting raped in towns lol… If anyone Skyrim is setup this way I would be great full if I got help to get mine same way without breaking my Skyrim x.x 5. I have about two mods I can't install on MO with the putting everything in data then setting it as the directory…cause it has no data not sure what to do, and the video I seen to help for new MO users is kind of confusing 6. After running BOSS I see the lighting symbol for conflicts, do I have to check and try to fix everyone or can I just play after running boss since the load order it gives me is 99% right
TheDriedFinger Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 First off, LOOT is better than BOSS from what I hear (personally, I don't use either). Other general advice: try to get an overall feel for how a mod works (it is sufficient to note what might get overwritten when installing a new mod); for example, if you install a body mod that overwrites the meshes from another body mod, that should raise a red flag for you that there is an incompatibility. 1) Those issues indicate improper textures. Perhaps, you installed CBBE textures with UNP meshes. Installing Bodyslide might overwrite UNP meshes (but I'm wondering why you would install both; they're not compatible), but generating a body mesh with the tool certainly will. 2) To the extent that you allow the new mod to overwrite everything. When I install mods, I'm very meticulous in noting what files may get overwritten - this is very important in modding your game. 3) That's part of modding - choose what you want. I'll let others recommend mods for you. 4) The more popular Vampire mods on the Nexus have very specific installation instructions and compatibility notes. Read them and you will be fine. Also, unless you are installing a mod that says it'll have NPCs randomly having sex all over the place, I wouldn't worry about it. 5) I'm not an MO user; sorry, I don't know. 6) Last I checked, BOSS automatically updates your load order to reflect what it recommends. Again, a lot of people recommend using LOOT over BOSS.

I thought bodyslide 2 didnt come with CBBE and worked with UNP...maybe i should stop using bodyslide but I thought it was needed for armors and stuff too, is there a UNP version? I will probly use LOOT only if this is true, I use both atm. I don't think I allow the new mods overwrite everything I think its based off the Load order in MO not very sure im still learning >.< I have more fun adding mods and figuring all this stuff out more then I do playing lol, I was much more picky when I used NMM
razgriz416 Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 1. That's a definite texture/mesh mismatch. If you want to use any UNP based meshes (UNP, UNP Skinny, UNPB, Sevenbase), you can't really use bodyslide. Someone around here was making a UNP version of BS2, but I can't remember who. This is really a question of preference... I prefer UNP to CBBE, so I can't use bodyslide, but I will admit that Bodyslide does offer greater flexibility than UNP. UNP just has a higher quality model and I'm willing to put in the extra effort. 2. If you're asking about NMM, yes, the order matters. If you're asking about MO, no idea. I tried it once and uninstalled it for several reasons. >_> (Not saying it's bad, just not my cup of tea) 3. As mentioned by DriedFinger, that really is part of modding. I won't lie when I say that I've legitimately looked through at least 50,000 mods before. (I did the entire Skyrim nexus a while back). 4. I had a Skyrim setup like that about a year ago, you already mentioned a few of the better "realism" mods (Frostfall and RND). There are a ton of realism mods, but some of the better ones (and better maintained ones), can be found in the realism section at skyrimgems (There's a solid amount in the other sections as well). Some of my personal favorites are Frostfall, RND, Get Snowy, Footprints, and Better Fast Travel - Carriages and Ships. 5. Not a MO user. 6. The lighting things in BOSS tell you that there are things which COULD cause instability in your game and lead to crashes and corrupt saves. There are a few mods that NEED the dirty edits that BOSS is highlighting to actually function, so clean with TESVEdit at your own risk. That said, I'd recommend not using BOSS. BOSS attempted to create a master load order for ALL mods, the problem with this was that some mods have conflicting load order requirements which made making a perfect list virtually impossible. LOOT does not attempt to create the "perfect" list, it organizes mods by category, and then orders them as best as it possibly can in those categories. BOSS's actual working name is BOSS 2.2.0. LOOT's original name was BOSS v3 beta, same authors different sorting methodology. So they'll both give you different load orders entirely, and using both is redundant.

Thank you<3 This is really good to know I love having a smaller more real body type and the Textures for it is amazing Im making sure not to use bodyslide this time around, ill go look up that UNP Body slider if there is one out. I love LOOT tbh it feels more soild cause it tells me alot of info easily. I rather my mods get organized by category so ima stick with LOOT 100% I dont mess with the dirty edits cause the vid on it said its not needed much and is more for other modders. I hope my 3rd try at modding my skyrim goes well^^
Androktone Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 1. If there's something wrong with your nipples, you should consult a physician or a medicine man. 2. In MO, the order of installation does NOT matter. The order of mods (on the left) does beacuse of the issue of conflicting data (textures, meshes etc.) which really means only data with the highest priority will be loaded. NMM, however, forces you to replace data during installation. 3. I'm not sure I get it. If you need recommendation wrt mods, check Nexus ("Most endorsed files of all-time") or Skyrim GEMS or S.T.E.P. or... be more clear / specific. 4. Ughhh, I despise vampires. Vermin! 5. Give us names of those mods. 6. What "lighting symbol"?
shedidwhat Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 you probably found it already, but if not here is where to get UNP Bodyslide http://www.loverslab.com/topic/11468-bodyslide-unp-v04-30-sliders/ something to note, with the UNP or CBBE bodyslide when you click the button for it to make the body, if you hold down the CTRL button it will place the body in your bodyslide folder and not in the skyrim folder. but now that may be different if you use it through MO, I have not tried that yet

I got Moonpath itself in easy but patch wont go says "NO game data on Top Level" Right click the data folder isn't fixing it. This happens with other mods that say the something with no data folder this is a HUGE problem i cant fix atm.

If you mean "Moonpath to Elsweyr", you can click "Ignore" and then "Merge" but don't do it. IMO, the filename ("hg.seq") is wrong. Open "moonpath.esm" in TES5Edit, rightclick it, choose "Other" and then "Create SEQ file". Exit TES5Edit and go to your overwrite directory, where you'll find "Seq//moonpath.seq". Move it, the dir with the file, to your "mods//Moonpath to Elsweyr" directory. Also, consider installing a typo patch for that mod -- call Nexus 51556.

OpheliacRoses Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 I followed what you said and installed the typo patch, thanks you for helping me learn how to mod better Androktone^^
