Guest Vendayn Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Screenshots are kind of plain when my character is standing without any pose. I can't use pinup poser, due to massive CTDs from it. Granted, I have a big mod list...so that doesn't help. But poser mod causes my save games to get corrupt. And yes, it is in fact that mod that causes it (for me) after many annoying hours of testing. Many people have said it caused problems for them too. Granted, maybe its mod list specific for those with a ton of mods...or...I'm not sure. Any other pose mods out there people use? What I am looking for is one where I do not need to install scripts into the scripts folder. This causes many problems for my already heavy scripted skyrim (which is running perfect now as is). Is there even a mod like this?
hentaijin Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I've never had problems with pinup poser. Do you use LOOT and mod organizer?
xgkf Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I use both LOOT and MO and I had nothing but CTDs when attempting to use Pinup Poser (and "Halo's Poser"), too. The only way I could load up saves was to start a new game and then load my existing save...and this is on what was a brand new game (not an old save that I tried to add it into later), otherwise the game would CTD when attempting to load saves. And I know it was PP that was the cause as well because those issues stopped once I removed PP from my mod list. I don't know if it's just poorly coded, if FNIS just hates it (skyscrapers worth of consistence errors), or if it has to do with the massive number of rings it throws at you (which are annoying to deal with in and of themselves). Whatever the case, it seems to be fairly unstable.
Jexsam Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Pinup Poser runs like a dream for me. Are you guys sure it's not just user error...?
Guest Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 How exactly does it cause CTD? Is it randomly while in the game or only when you try to load a save?
xgkf Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 No idea. But when I was trying to start a new game (using Skyrim Unbound) I could start up everything just fine, load up all the mod MCM's, set all of my settings, save, and start the game and things would run fine. When I tried to load a save (both before starting with SU and a short ways into the game after), the game would CTD with PP and H'sP installed. The only way I could load up any of those saves was by starting a new game and *then* loading up one of those saves from in game. When I un-checked PP from my mod list and load order, though, I could load them up fine (even with the 'this save has assets from a mod not present' or whatever message appears when you try to load a save that has stuff from a mod that is no longer present). I've since aborted all of those save games and just started fresh anyway, but I did so without PP because of the issues that (for whatever reason) it was apparently causing.
Guest Vendayn Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Same problem as XGKF. With Poser, recent saves would not load. I'd have to load oldest save. Then new save would work. However, doing this...10 hours into the game...the save (and all saves) were broken forever. Removed poser...and never had a problem since. Had to start a new game...but ah well. Did tests on my 2nd PC, and with poser, broken...without...works...multiple times. This was using same skyrim setup, different mods (a lot less, think it had around 50)...and had same problem. I'm guessing lack of suggestions...no script free pose mod is out there. Ah well...
Taskmaster Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 This is interesting, and not the first time I've heard this on the forum. I've personally never had an issue with PP. Loading up saves though? That tends to happen to everyone on rare occasion I think Safety Load jumps the gun on possible infinite load. If you're running Safety Load, maybe set it to only work on initial load and nothing else, too. I can even load up quicksaves without issue. Although it's possible, that if I didn't have PP loaded in my game, maybe my game would be even more stable, who knows. Whenever I use it though, I create a save before and then work with the poses and when I'm ready to play again I load a previous save from before I started(most of the time).
xgkf Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I never used Safety Load. I had heard about it, but from what I'd read the memory patch/fix things made it unnecessary/redundant, so I never bothered with it.

From what I remember I read they work to solve the same problem using 2 different methods, so I use both.
gvman3670 Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I haven't had any problems with PP. But I also don't use it on MO game profiles that I plan on using to actually "play" the game so any script conflicts probably won't even show for me anyway. Use MO to it's fullest and set up different profiles. You can have the same character in more than one profile, so set up a screenshot profile. You can even set the ini's differently in each so you can have outright gaming performance in one and pretty screenies with the other.
xgkf Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Out of curiosity, of the people who have no issue with PP, which version of it are you using (if other than the newest)? Also, are you using "Halo's Poser", with the added/extra poses it provides or just the plane "Pinup Poser"? In either case, do you also receive a skyscraper's worth of Consistence errors from FNIS when you run FNIS's Consistence Check afterward?
ligeia101 Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 That crash is caused by papyrus taking too much time to load, there is a workaround for it thou. From the main menu open the console coc qasmoke, and then load your save game from there it will run without problems.
