bigglebojiggle Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 So I was going through and changing the meshes of some armor and some clothes, so far most stuff seems to be fine, but Ive had an iron armor and a black robe appear as just solid purple. Im by no means the best modder or even a decent one but heres what happened: I opened bodyslide changed some meshes to look how I want for this character I used some meshes from other (not installed) armor mods and replaced those in the armor mod I am using and overwrote them  Thats all I did, like I said Im no modder but I thought textures wrapped around the messes (essentially) so I dont get why the adjusted armors are purple.
bigglebojiggle Posted June 15, 2014 Author Posted June 15, 2014 Never mind, in less than 20 seconds I found the problem/ Apparently even though the mesh has been moved, it still asks for the texture from its original mod. Using just the texture set that came with the original mod fixed the problem.
myuhinny Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Yeap when you copy a armor/outfit branch it will have everything that the original piece did. What I usually do is make copies of the texture files that are being used for the outfit/armor pieces that were added and then place them into the texture folder of the outfit/armor that the outfit/armor pieces were added to then I change the texture file paths of the outfit/armor pieces in nifskope to the texture folder of that outfit/armor that the armor/outfit pieces were added to.
