perivam3 Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 After conquering Skyrim a couple times on the PS3, and after acquiring a snazzy new video card, I decided it was time to try out a "different" Skyrim on the PC. I know next to nothing about actually modding the game, I just know there are tons of downloads I can sift through to enhance and alter the experience. But what should I start with? Is there some kind of list of essential mods that all players should use? Or do I just pick and choose whatever? I'm sure I could have posed this question in the normal mods section, but I'm also looking for the "essential" adult mods, if there are any. Seems those may be more open to each player's taste, but there must be at least a couple that are universally accepted. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.
Invalidcharacter2 Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Um... well first start with Sexlab. (Make sure you follow all the requirements). Then check out what kinds of "stuff" you like. Not everything will be to your taste, or perhaps all of it will. Always check the requirements of those add-ons. Most things need Sexlab, so use THAT first.
Nightmyste Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 i suggest you get the unofficial patches first of all you can find those on the skyrim nexus, these are simply because the pc version has quite a few bugs that are solved by said patches
RightTrigger Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 I strongly suggest getting SKSE. Lots of the best mods require it. And like Jack said, get the unofficial patches. Once you have all that, download what you want.
Azolgar Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 I'd recommend getting all the enviroment, static-mesh improvement etc. mods which aren't adult stuff, first. There's a list here. Stuff like SKSE/SkyUI/etc. are your first stop, since they enable everything else. RaceMenu plugin, Advanced Character Edit, ApachiiSky Hair (or other character-appearance mods). FNIS and its creature pack are probably next, since people like to forget installing it or generating new behaviour-files after they install an animation mod. Once you have that pick a body-replacer of your choice (I'm using CHSBHC, but it's not a very popular one anymore, CBBE or UNP have more armors made for them). After that it's the latest SexLab, probably Schlongs of Skyrim, and so on.
TacomancerX Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 SKSE SkyUI RaceMenu RaceCompatibility Enhanced character Edit Alternate Start - Another life SG Hair Pack ApachiiSkyhair +unofficial patch A body type you like like CBBE or something. for starters some fun non-adult mods are Tame The Beast II, lets u get a pet good for hunter theme chars. Let us know if u want adult recommands
perivam3 Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I've already got NMM running and adding on mod after mod. The patches are in, as is SKSE, the UI, and working on Static Mesh now. I'd recommend getting all the enviroment, static-mesh improvement etc. mods which aren't adult stuff, first. There's a list here. Stuff like SKSE/SkyUI/etc. are your first stop, since they enable everything else. RaceMenu plugin, Advanced Character Edit, ApachiiSky Hair (or other character-appearance mods). After that it's the latest SexLab, probably Schlongs of Skyrim, and so on. Yes! This! Exactly what I was looking for. There are just so many mods out there that it's nice to have a list of the most well-respected and used ones. Get these baseline mods in and then start playing around with others to taste. And I suppose I should have read things more carefully when I first registered here, I thought the Sexlab was just the name of the modding group. You know, all the testers and programmers and such. On my list now. Looking forward to a much more risque Skyrim experience. It was all well and fine on the PS3, but now it's time to go crazy and enjoy tons of mods on here.
TacomancerX Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Nexus is for non-adult mods, there are some here but mostly for adult stuff lol http://www.nexusmods.com/
afa Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Might want to use Mod Organizer, especially if you want to try out different kind of body mods easily.
Azolgar Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Oh, and as to why there isn't one single mod that combines many features:
