00ptic Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 So this armor mesh has a strange point that it stretches towards (at least in NifSkope) which in-game translates to a shadow with similar properties. How do I fix this? DragonArmor.nif --- On an unrelated note, I have not been able to alter Lip Color option with the race menu for a while (like, years). It has not really bothered me, and if I become desperate enough I can simply change the texture. I am using RaceMenu at the moment.
JRCosta Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Did you edit this Nif file? It has a BSLightningShaderProperty, NiAlpha and NiSkin unassigned, and as NiTriShape as well. I have remove them, try this one "cleaned up" (I'm on my laptop, so I can't test it myself). DragonArmor.nif
00ptic Posted June 6, 2014 Author Posted June 6, 2014 I did not make it but I have removed a part of it. To be clear, this is the issue I am having.
Emberheart Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Looks like someone painted the weightmaps on and was a bit messy doing so. It may try to pull a single vertex to one of the bones. This can probably be fixed in OutfitStudio even, if it's a weightmap thing. I'll take a peek now. edit: not so likely a weightmap issue, but the tip of that bugged claw is gone in my nifskope and your bug cannot be replicated, atleast not by me. Did you link the original file to us or the edited file?
00ptic Posted June 6, 2014 Author Posted June 6, 2014 I linked an edited version of an edited file. The original was for ADEC, but was converted to 7B (which has the bug), and I have further removed stockings from the mesh in NifSkope. Also my NifSkope only shows it when F10 is toggled on (or off, not sure what is actually being toggled) but it shows the shadow in-game.
pornphile Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 F10 toggles ortho/perspective view. Mirrored suspect vertices: You'll probably need to rebuild .nif information. DragonArmor_edit.nif
