visby Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 CTD when entering Riverrun is generally due to running out of video memory. How much video memory does your GPU have? I'm running allot more mods then you (about 160) and I hit a peak usage of about 2.5gigs of video memory used. Moded Skyrim can eat up allot of video memory. Other then that your using some mods I don't so I can't tell if the issue is with them or not.
nutluck Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 If you mean it crashes there, when starting a new game with your character running down to Riverwood then yes it sounds like you could be having a memory problem due the number of mods you have. If this is the case you have two choices. 1) Remove some of the mods. 2) Use SKSE 1.7 and apply the memory fix in the ini file or use one of the memory patch programs on nexus that doubles your memory used by the game for certain things. Are you using a mod that expands towns and cities with lots of extra NPC's? If so that it is almost for sure a memory issue.

For which one the memory patch programs like SSME or you mean the turning on the memory patch for SKSE 1.7? If you mean SKSE then you need to add the following lines to the SKSE.ini file [Memory] DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 ScrapHeapSizeMB=256
