BlueSkyMine Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 It's the most bizarre thing. Having gotten a new CPU and mobo, I had decided to kickoff a fresh new game with updated mods. So set up Skyrim, transferred all my wrye bash installs, loaded up all the mods and *bam* good to go. New game goes off alright until I pass Fort Amol. Massive framerate drop on one side of the Fort. Dropped graphic settings, still getting lag. Ok, I thought, it must be one of the mods. Get to Whiterun, take three steps inside then *bam* again with the framerate. So I start tearing out mods, tweaking for every performance edge, still no improvement. Go for the full reinstallation and load each mod one by one. As soon as XPMS goes in, 40fps drop in Whiterun, more if there's two or more people near me. Take it off and it's back to the VSync level of 60fps. I don't even understand how that works. My current rig has an Intel I5 4590, 8GB RAM and a Gigabyte GTX 460SE. This was an upgrade from an AMD 965 Black Edition. Went from Win 7 to Win 8.1. I had a better framerate with my old rig than my new one. So has anyone have any tips on solving this or if I'm missing something?
BlueSkyMine Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 Well, I just Installed XPMS Extended from Groovtama. That solved the framerate drop.
Guest Katherlne Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Well, after i install XPMS from Groovtama, i have fps drop to 30. With XP32 fps drop to 40. Before i never had this problem, i really confusing and had no idea why is this happen.
zzz72w3r Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I figure I better post this before Groovtama blows a gasket. On the mod's instruction in bold and red: Attention: HOW TO FIX LOW FPS OR BROKEN HDT AFTER UPDATING TO 2.0: TO USE XPMSE 2.0+ WITH AN OLD HDT XML FOR 1.9, YOU HAVE TO RENAME "NPC PreBelly" IN YOUR HDT XML TO "HDT Belly"!

Thank you! Now all work smooth and nice!

zzz72w3r Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Don't thank me. Groovtama wrote that in big bold red letters in the XPMS instruction. I just copy and paste in verbatim so the author won't have an aneurysm seeing the help request
