I'm looking for good heavy armour mods for the CBBE body (doesn't matter if they're skimpy or not as long as they're heavy armour and for CBBE) I've tried searching the nexus but the amount of crap you have to sift through to find anything is ridiculous (how the hell is a body an armour?) so I'm asking here.
Veladarius Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 BAMM has light and heavy versions of the armors in it and all are craftable at the tanning rack and is here on LL. Also, Tera armors has both light and heavy armors as well. Edit: If you want more lore friendly armors, Immersive armors has a number of heavy armors as well as Bobs armory.

Even if you have no idea how to do anything in the CK you can simply compare a light armor to a heavy one and make the necessary changes which would basically be adding 1 Editor ID, removing 1 and changing it from Light to Heavy (the option is right next to the Weight of the armor).

The CK is all but broken. Since a few updates back it has a nasty habit of randomly crashing and for whatever reason they never bothered to add the DLC's to the list of loadable masters leaving the mod-authors to fix yet another of their half-hearted attempts. Like i said before I'm willing to help when i can and convert armors for you. Armor and weapons are the few Ck items i have a reasonable amount of experience with so it falls into one of those tasks i can actually pull off with a good degree of success.

The thing I've found is that most of the light armour mods I've found LOOK like light armour so just changing them to light armours would feel weird (and if I could be bothered downloading the CK is probably something I could do myself if the CK in Skyrim is anything like the CK in Oblivion.) Although by a complete fluke I found another heavy armour (one that isn't skimpy as well!!) just by typing in the word silver: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51798/? (I was actually looking for swords, not armours at the time and hit two birds with one stone by finding a heavy armour I like and the swords I was looking for)

The people suggesting that you change light armor to heavy don't seem to understand. You want a decent suit of heavy armor, not a piece of lingerie flagged as heavy armor. No it would still feel weird, for example if the elven rogue armour was turned into a heavy armour it wouldn't make much sense not least because it's called Elven Rogue (both words are pretty much synonymous with light armour for me) but because it LOOKS like it should be light armour. As for the silver plate armour being a retexture of regular steel plate armour, it's different enough to satisfy me (especially given the armour replacer I installed) so it works for me.
