skyrimkillmod Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I have two body nif files and im useing 3ds max, both bodys have the same number of vertices. The bigger one is the origonal and i like the bone weights and their associated vertices, the new one i made with outfit studio and when it was created the bone weights and their associated vertices were not the same as the origonal and that made the breasts bounce signifcantly less (the weights in the breasts vertices to the breast bones are half of the origonal). Pretty sure i know how to use skin wrap and thats not what im looking for in this instance, what i need to to copy bone weights and their associated vertices from the origonal body and overwrite the new smaller bodys verts with the same weights to their prospective bones. I have tryed to copy paste the skin moddifer from the origonal to the new one but upon pasteing it on the new one the verts just revert to what they allready were set to on the new body. plz help
gerra6 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 You can just run Mesh Rigger directly on the nifs. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/24797-mesh-rigger-skyrim-fallout-oblivion-beta46-3-23-2014/?p=791543
Cyndi Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 In max, you can just right click on the skin modifier you want, and then copy -> and paste it over to the other nif. Works like a charm unless your vertex order has gotten messed up.

gerra6 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 It depends a bit on the nifs and exactly what you want to accomplish. Set the template and target nifs by clicking on 'File' and selecting the files/folders that you want to work with If all that you want to do is replace the weightpainting on a target nif with that of a template nif, just enable 'Replace Weights' when you run the tool. That will strip any existing weightpainting and replace it with weightpainting copied from the template. If both nifs use the same texture standards, leave UV Search enabled. If they use different textures, it's a good idea to disable UV Search. Other than that it's fairly straightforward.
