Ctd On 'a Night To Remember' Quest

On my last 2 installs the same thing is happening, right after Sanguine gives me the staff in Misty Grove and sends me back to Morvunskar, the game crashes to desktop.

 

So, I dunno if it is a known bug but it happens on each new install now, and I don't know why this is happening.

 

I do suspect HDT_PE but I'm not sure.

I know it is not very helpful, but I just wanna know if somebody else has this CTD too and how he/she solved the problem.

So, after some few tries I've finally found out !

 

Believe it or not, it is the GAME itself ! More precisely Sanguine. If not moving before sending my PC back to Ivarstead Vilemyr Inn the game loads and crashes BUT if I rush the dialogue and Sanguine moves before sending my PC back to Vilemyr Inn, everything works fine ! 

 

I dunno if it is because of Sanguine position in X,Y,Z axises or because it is still in dialogue that the game crashes but it must be one of these two reasons !

 

Does anyone have a clue why this is happening ?

 

Btw, please someone try it and get back here telling me if it happens or not for you too ! Maybe it's my Legendary Version which is bugged !

 

EDIT - Now, after some little search, here is a patch I've found ! Hope it will help some people !

[05/07/2014 - 03:21:20PM] Info: *Achievement 41 awarded - a winnar is you!* is from AchieveThat.esp and as for crashes with a Night To Remember, do you have Sexlab-Alicia Painslut in your load order? There has a been a problem running that and that quest, if memory serves me right.

I have had the same exact problem and I narrowed it down to USKP.  When I was using v19.1.3.2c I could complete the quest.  When I upgraded to v2.0.0, the game would always ctd when Sanguine sent me back to the Bannered Mare.  Downgraded to v19.3.2c and was able to complete the quest.  I have not tried the latest patch, but I wouldn't know if it fixed the ctd or not simply because now I can't find Sam.

Well, I am running the latest patches PsychoMachina and I've not had any problems with it, latest patch is 2.0.3 and as for Sam, he appears in the first tavern you go into after you hit level 14 and stays there, if I remember right.

Thanks Slammer64, I'll try the latest USKP when I start a new game.  As for Sam, he always showed up at the Bannered Mare.  I checked the Inns at every Hold and just about every town and road-side.  No big deal.

I'll check out the patch. I've been having-this occasionally as well.

 

Warning ! It solves this bug but it modifies your perk tree, and I had a weird 'black head' bug on wood elves right after launching the game with this patch enabled, then I disabled it, loaded the game again, then enabled it and loaded the game again and the 'black head' bug disappeared it seems, but my perk tree is still modified so use it at your own risk.

No, I don't have Alicia Painslut in my load order.

 

 

And it seems Saguine teleports you to the inn where you've shared some drinks with Sam, so for me it was Vilemyr Inn.

I don't have either of those installed at the moment. I might have some other bizarre conflict. I decided against using the patch after looking at it.

 

I ran through the quest last night and didn't have an issue.
