Can't Talk To Followers And Arngeir

Hello. I have a huge and quite probably a game breaking problem right now. First, i can't talk to my followers. What i mean talk is that the dialogue option is not appearing yet she(Lydia) is responding to my call when i press E. 2nd is the game breaking one. The dialogue options is not showing up when i try to talk to Arngeir to give the horn of Hurgen windcaller in order to go into the next quest phase. I tried to talk to some NPCs and it seems it's just working fine.

I'm not wearing any cowl of the sneak tools mod and i even tried to uninstall it once and it didn't work. So any ideas?

A bug with AFT? Try uninstalling it, making a fresh save, then reinstalling and loading that save. Not sure beyond that, but follower tweak mods can get weirded out sometimes.

I don't think so. I'm using AFT and never encountered this sort of problem.

 

Maybe FCO ? Better Quest objectives can be the trick too. The "immersive" series can be a part of the problem.  Marriable Serana IS buggy (it had ruined one of my games in the past). Civil War Overhaul may be a possibility of bug (expecially with Arngeir). And what exactly is AOS ?

Yeah, the Civil War Overhaul is notoriously buggy. Arngeir is part of that quest as well. So that is a big possibility. But you can't just remove CWO without it breaking your game.

Strange because i can talk to Arngeir just fine with CWO, FCO and Better quest objectives before. This just happens randomly somehow. I'll try uninstalling them and gonna try again. Thanks for the replies guys and AoS is Audio of Skyrim mod

So what i did is uninstall FCO is first. The problem is still there where i can't talk to my followers. Then i tried to uninstall FCO, Better objectives then the immersion series. The problem gets worse where whenever i talk to anybody, no dialogue options is showing up. Haven't tried to disable Marriable Serana and CWO yet.

Damn i really hope not because i wouldn't want to repeat all of this all over again. When i look at Wrye Bash, my save game is purple coded but the mods are still highlighted in blue. Looks like i have no choice but to start a new game and see if the dialogue works(Followers and Arngeir).

Just a heads up. I was able to solve the problem with the followers by using EFF which is strange but i'm glad it's now working. As for Arngeir, it seems it's in the game itself. I finished the blades quests first until Sky Haven Temple then Arngeir finally talked to me
