lolimaid1 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I have been posting recently asking for help mostly and I really appreciate the aid people give here but I ask again for help. I have correctly installed MBP and the XEO chocolate elves mod but now cannot figure out how to make a character look decent. I know some people share their character saves here but all of those seem to fail to work on my computer as I seem to lack other needed files ( Only have the MBP and choco elves mods installed at the moment) If someone can help me on my endeavor to try to make a better looking character I would be much appreciated. If there are any save files out there that don't need any other mods to function or if there is some way to make good looking characters[/align] somehow that I don't know about I would be very happy for your help.
Ryu Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Well, your problem might come from the fact people using MBP and XEO usually use other mods as well: MBP++ x117 race XEORC4 various other race mods It would be wise to ask the person you got the save file from, what race mods does he/she use . As for making decent looking characters - that's personal work and sometimes weeks or even months of experimenting. For example, I have created my character using MU race textures + Carrier race meshes, because I was trying to create a char similar to gwangdoll's .
EvenstarGW Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Wrye Bash might seem a very complex tool to order only 2 mods. But if you get it now and get to grips with it, it will save you a lot of trouble later on. The reason I'm suggesting it in this case is not for the conflict-resolving features, but for the savegame manipulation. With Bash, you can import the face from someone else's savegame onto your own, without having to play the other person's save, or having all the mods they had installed when they made it. Just a matter of rightclicking your save, choosing import face, selecting the other person's save and voila, your face looks like theirs, without losing any of your gameplay progress.
lolimaid1 Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 Thanks, I'll try to use "wrye bash" is guess.
Shizune Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Also if you want to go beyond the limits of an in-game facegen you may try modelling your character's face in TES Construction set. Changing the look of an actually existing NPC (usint the Xeo mod) or an existing save might be a good option as well.
The DarkSlayer Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Or you can use Oblivion Face Exchange Lite. This might help.
