[Request] A way to choose specific animations to initiate

Currently, we have dialog mods which allow us to more or less choose which animation to start, but they only activate *certain* animations.  What I'm looking for is some way to choose from a list of ALL INSTALLED ANIMATIONS, not just the animations that the mod maker has made dialog for.  I don't have much experience with the CK, but I would imagine that this would be a simple mod to make.  Is anyone up to it?

I like this idea. Maybe there could be a dialogue tree. So you could choose oral, vaginal, or anal (as several mods currently allow you to), but then, having chosen the broad category, you get a more specific sub-tree, still in dialogue. Maybe not a dialogue for every single animation, but for every cluster or sub-group. So one comment would access all the woman-on-top anims, another all the missionary, and so on. So (using the Romance dialogue, which I am quoting from memory, you would get something like this:

 

1) You are so beautiful I just want to make love to you (current dialogue)

 

2) She then says: "Mmmm. Sounds good. And just how do you want to do it?"

 

3) You click on that comment to get this new menu:

 

i) I want you to ride me--strong women like it on top.

ii) Just lie back and sing hymns while I preach to you missionary style.

iii) Let's do it standing up

iv) Doggy fashion. Woof woof.

I could be done easily but how many animations are they in SexLab now about 50? There are already mods which allow you to chose from a narrow catagory like handjobs,boobjobs,footjobs,foreplay,from behind,rough,vaginal,blowjobs,oral,three-ways,random which can pick any animation in the framework. As nice as it would be to pick exactly what animation you want I don't think I would want to go through a list of 50 options.

If I am reading this correctly it is for a mod that show a list of all registered sexlab animation and plays them?

 

Sounds handy for testing and adjusting positions.

Add in a price list and you have a great prostitution mod! Could have menu's and sub menu's dividing acts into vaginal/anal/oral so no one list had to be 50 positions long.

 

That's the mod I was referring to that excatly what Working Girl does.

Didn't know that, I always play a guy, and as far as I know pretty much all the prostitution mods are for female PC's. Though I wouldn't mind some of the females paying me for my donation of seed. It would be a Hell of a lot more fun earning money laying pipe rather than chopping wood :D

TDF Prostitution mod works for guys as prostitutes, also allows you to pimp up to three other female NPCs who can but don't have to be current followers.

 

You can lay pipe with that mod but can't sell other pipelayers ;).

To meet the original request (a pretty good request compared to many I've seen) you would need a MCM menu to select the next animation to play.  There is currently no way to add new conversational topics to the game so the one mod (Working Girl) that has conversational options to select a position HAS to know all the animations when the mod is developed and cannot be used to play a brand new animation without first being updated.

To meet the original request (a pretty good request compared to many I've seen) you would need a MCM menu to select the next animation to play.  There is currently no way to add new conversational topics to the game so the one mod (Working Girl) that has conversational options to select a position HAS to know all the animations when the mod is developed and cannot be used to play a brand new animation without first being updated.

 

It works with tags so even new animations that are added to the framework will play in there respective topics without changing anything on my part with the exception of a whole new type like the recently added footjob which would still play under random but that's rare that one gets added that doesn't fall into one of the pre-existing options and it could be narrowed down even further with tags but I've never had a reason to do so I think theres already to many topics. If someone wanted too they could do this with a dialog tree but I like your MCM idea better for something like this.

 

I'm not entirly sure what you had in mind in the MCM menu if your selecting from a complete list of animations wouldn't still have to be updated when new animations that are added to the framework or if you just mean the cycling to the next animation like SA does (A feature I like very much by the way) which would work but that's a lot of animations to cycle through. Or do you mean some other way.

Thanks to your suggestion WaxenFigure I decided to look into the prostitution mods a bit more. Trying out Radiant Prostitution tweaked now, and I must say I like it! Started in the inn in Falkreath using LaL and managed to find a few women to service. One female guard there even decided to have a go 4 times in a row :D Trying out quite a few things right now while anxiously awaiting SL 1.5 so Devious devices is also in along with Dreams shop and devious for men. But I haven't actually gotten to see any of that yet. But I did manage to get my 2nd client from RP pregnant with Being Female hehe.

 

Now for the original topic. Honestly, your best bet would be to disable all but the one you want to check them out one at a time, then leave the ones you don't like disabled. Atleast until someone makes a quest to learn "everything" from Healga or someone one technique at a time.

I figured I was missing something on the MCM I forgot you could do that thanks for clearing that up.

 

I like the message box idea that would work great for what the poster is suggesting and from a user standpoint It wouldn't be as cluttered as a seemingly never ending dialog tree. I may steal your message box idea for the companion specific dialog. I wanted as many options as possible for that without drowning in topics and I think that method would work well.

 

As a stand alone mod I like the idea and I think others would want something like this too for screenshots as an example. If no one does this in a month or two I may go ahead and do it but if I do it there won't be any kind of quest content it will just be a way to see specific animations with any NPC which I think might be all the poster wanted. Hopefully someone else will do this I have enough difficulty finding time to even work on one mod although I don't think doing this would be too bad for me since I don't believe I'll have to learn anything new to get it done. It would be a great starter mod for someone and it would be nice to have someone do it that would give it some love rather than a quick functional mod as I would if I decided to make it. Either way I would like to see this happen.

Ashal added the ability to start any two person animation directly from the Sexlab MCM menu in the latest beta version of the framework so...
