Follower Race/Appearance Swapping

Short Version:

 

Problem: Custom follower race swapping after turning her into a vampire with Better Vampires

 

Notes: 

Custom teeth and eye textures/meshes added manually (my own modification). Feeds normally as advertised by BV. Ai seems normal. Only problem is her race seems to swap back and forth

 

Possible Solutions: Script tweak to point to custom vampire race?

 

 

Long Version:

 

Shortly after starting my most recent play-through I stumbled upon Brynhildr (http://dragonporn.ldblog.jp/archives/7379542.html) whilst browsing follower mods, and decided to have her accompany my character. Not long afterwards (in game) I picked up Vampirism by accident and decided to embrace it. I downloaded Better Vampires

and continued on. I began to grow and it occurred to me that I could make Bryn a vampire too. Then decided that now bound by blood I would pledge my character to her until death do us part (metaphorically, considering we both were kind of already "dead"... meh) and get married.

 

This is when I started to notice the issue.

 

It seems that both Better Vampires and Bloodthirst recognize her as a vampire, because she feeds and uses vampiric powers. However neither her eyes nor face changed after the transformation. The issue seems to be that her race is normal most of the time, but when BV or BT scripts start her hair changes and her eyes change.

 

Potential Causes: 

Better Vampire or Bloodthirst scripts improperly interacting with her race

The transformation into a vampire the first time did not activate properly (potentially causing her to be flagged as a vampire by the mods, but not the game).

 

 

Here is a before and after comparison. Every time I load into my game she looks normal, but after a time her appearance changes, and only reverts when I re-load a save game.

 

 

The outcome I am looking for in making this thread:

 

    I would like her to have a consistent appearance

          - The eyes in the "After" picture

          - The hair in the "Before" picture

          - And fangs like the ones from Better Vampire Fangs and Eyes

Some steps I have already taken/attempted:

• I created an additional race (NordRaceBrynhildrVampire) by duplicating her original race (NordRaceBrynhildr), then adding the vampire factions. Unfortunately though when I try to "setrace NordRaceBrynhildrVampire" her body disappears (minus her head) and her hair changes.
• I attempted to re-turn her into a vampire via dialogue options with Better Vampires, but then her body texture changed (looked like vanilla nord vampire) and she looses the look that I want her to keep.
• Lastly, I am at this very moment backing up all of my Skyrim game files so that I can do testing without fear of loosing anything past this point.
