BringtheNoise Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I understand the basic's of converting UNPB to CBBE or Vanilla to CBBE. What I want to do is... Apply the HDT extensions to a converted Outfit Studio (OS) set... I've done the following with bad results. Open OS, choose HDT Body for Reference, choose a converted nif for outfit. Then inside OS highlight the outfit under mesh, and choose animation under bone and then tried to "Apply animation weight to currently selected bone" for the mesh. I go through all of the bones that apply to the mesh, then move to the next mesh, rinse repeat.... I also make sure I "Conform to all sliders". Once all mesh's have had the bone animations applied (or tried to) I do the "Save Project As" and make sure I get the information correct for the outfit in question. I leave the "Generate both high and low weight outputs", and "copy reference shape into outfit" checked. And yes I delete the base shape from the outfit while working with it in outfit studio. Then I close Outfit Studio and Body slide 2. I then reopen Body Slide 2, double check to make sure I'm on "HDT CBBE Body Slide" for outfit, and choose the body I want (I like the "CBBE fixed butt small" and usually run around with a weight of 25 for my character in-game). I hit "create bodies" and then run the "batch build" (and select the project I created) and build the outfit. And last step. I fire up the game and put on the outfit. This is where things to very wrong.... In-game the underlying body has HDT, but the outfit does not? IE - I get breast and butt movement that clips through the outfit and the outfit doesn't move... So what the heck am I doing incorrectly? Just for giggles I've attached a non HDT Body Slide setting for the Dungeon Explorer set (Cove Diver, Dungeon explorer, boots, and Jacket) But be warned it's a rough conversion. Dungeon Explorer - Body Slide 2 Settings.rar The shorts stick to and sometimes clip into the upper leg on the backside when walking. I was hopping to apply HDT to the outfit and have the shorts follow the body (as well as the top). Any Help would be greatly appreciated...
hryh23k9823u Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Are you copying the tbbp weights into the outfits?
BringtheNoise Posted March 27, 2014 Author Posted March 27, 2014 I did try by highlighting the selected item then right click and choose (copy bone weight). Also I'm not getting a 0 weight in the outputs? both 0 and 100 have a weight 100? Edit I think I found the problem. I was trying to use the HDT reference (which does the copy bones) but just doesn't do shiznit for me (maybe a bad xml file or something). But, if I try to use the "CBBE Advanced TBBP" then it will copy the animations (Woohoo Jigglies). Now all I have to do it start back from scratch and see if I can combine the unp or unpb to cbbe conversion along with the cbbe advance tbbp animations (and put it all into 1 project). Oh and the Rar file above doesn't include what I think it needs to include... I only copied the folders from the \BodySlide\ShapeData folder... I've currently got both the dungeonexplorer1 and bikiniexplorer working with TBBP animations, but I'm seeing clipping when I crouch and I'm not sure how to fix that. It looks alright when you walk but the bikini bottom kinda fubar's once you crouch...
BringtheNoise Posted March 28, 2014 Author Posted March 28, 2014 Looks like I'm back to square 1, I fubar'd my Bodyslide folder while trying to fix a couple of the pre made projects. Long story short I'm not missing both the HDT reference and the CBBE Advanced TBBP reference sets. The "CBBE Advanced TBBP" reference was working well for conversions so now I'll have to hunt the web and find it again... been through about 4 to 5 gigs worth of mods on my HD looking for it (and I don't delete the compressed mod's just for this reason). -edit- After muck'n with and about ready to delete Body slide entirely I figured out that with Body slide not running. I could add the following line into the config.xml under reference templates and now I get an HDT body and slides in outfit studio.. <Template sourcefile="SliderSets\HDTBody.xml" set="HDT CBBE Bodyslide">HDT CBBE Body + Sliders</Template> Hopefully when I get up tomorrow and start messing around again it will all work out. One thing I do know... if the base body that is part of a project does not render correctly in outfit studio (especially ones with bbp or HDT) then it's a fair chance that the items are not going to look correct in-game after a batch build. I actually had alot of the CB++ presets that support BBP do a strange stretching to the breasts. Note to any and all when creating a outfit studio set, USE the BASE CBBE body as a reference... If you use a custom body as the reference without a conversion from that custom body to cbbe, then anyone else trying to use that OS set will get an incorrect build (and if you test by doing a batch build after creating the set, you'll probably end up with the same problem)... Just an FYI
BringtheNoise Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 Well after messing around off an on today I found out the HDT settings are in the config.xml that is part of the HDT 1.3 Bodyslide set (it is not included in the 1.4). So if you start with just installing the 1.4 set into body slide they will not show up.... go figure. I've deleted all of the ones I created earlier today (frag'd the xml's, and shape data sets, etc) and reinstalled the base mesh's from the original author's. What I plan on doing tomorrow, cause I'm burned out of looking at Body slide right now, is.... Start a conversion set of Dungeon Explorer (a simple Body slide set to go from UNPB to CBBE to CBBE Advanced, it's not that hard). Then make a second Set with HDT support. Basicly 1 for those with HDT and one for those without. Then if that all work's correctly (which they worked for me just fine). I want to building a body slide set for the "UNPB 节操 Sogo-shu 1.4_ tea leather production" aka "ChaPi_JianLing" set (man I'll have to find the url for that download). The second set is kinda easy as all of the files are UNPB BBP so do the UNPB to CBBE conversion. Then change the ref over to HDT body and copy the animation data for each item in each nif... just kind of a long process. One other thing I learned today is before you save a project, you should switch reference back over to the CBBE Advance to make sure the outfit still fits the base body. And you can use the CBBE Advanced reference to move parts of a mesh (basicly conform to sliders, then move a slide for an item to adjust it to where you need the item to be then hit "set base shape" and "conform to sliders". The sliders go back to zero and the mesh keeps the adjustments... And if you don't get it on the first try rinse and repeat, make the adjustment to where it looks like it should go by moving a slider or 2 then "set base shape" then "conform to sliders" Note: if you hit "conform to slider" before "set base shape" The mesh and the sliders will go back to there previous settings. How to use the above mentioned.... (kinda rambling here)... This works really well when trying to line up piercing or bra's as you can adjust the breast height to go up; gravity to go down, Size to go closer to the body, nip position, and a couple of others... And if the item is buried in the breast then go with breast sh or ssh until its no longer buried... And for the the rear...if you're item is clipping slightly and the tool to fix it deforms the shape, then just use the "CBBE advanced" "bigbutt" slider. Move the slider out 10% increments and "set base shape" and "conform to sliders" until your item is no longer clipping in the body. This should keep the item in its desired shape and move it so it no longer clips into the rear. You can go the reverse way with the "butsmall" slider to get the item closer to the body. It's actually quite easy once your understand.... Now I think I'm going to try and finish the Falksaar mod, or what ever the hell it's called... I'll muck around with again OS tomorrow....
Monsto Brukes Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 In order to have HDT effects for a bodyslide created body and converted outfits, all you have to do is make sure they both have TBBP additions. Then make sure XPMS skeleton is active when you run the game. That probably sounds like an oversimplification, but it's not. I spent hours tweaking up a bodyslide body using CalienteBodyAdvanced TBBP. I moved it to it's own Mod Organizer installed mods directory and ran the game. boing boing boing.
BringtheNoise Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 We'll lets start this afternoon off with a little something that some have asked for. It's Duh slider sets with "No Bounce"... Dungeon Explorer Body Slide Settings Non-HDT.rar Again this is not the actual mod, it is just the body slide settings for the mod. The "Dungeon Explorer" set can be found on Halo's page - http://mod.dysintropi.me/mods/skyrim/ This was a simple conversion of UNPB to CBBE then upping it to CBBE Advanced (so it has slider support in outfit studio). The only thing that really needed adjustment while doing the conversion was the bikini in the Cove Diver set (bikiniexplorer.xml). It was a simple Vertices move on the z axis by the standard 3.2879 (x and y axis was left alone). Now to tinker with making a TBBP version (after I go find some AA batteries, my damn wireless trackball is starting to act up)... ----LoL EdiT---- You know when you've made a mistake and you're just not sure how to f'n explain it... Well somehow when I was creating the Body Slide sets for Dungeon explorer I Goofed on the name of an item... I typo'd sometime yesterday and ended up with a dajacket.nif that is not part of the original set, probably cause it was suppose to be dejacket.nif (which is the deck jacket). Gonna have to clean that up.... Oh and I've been testing and what not and found that if you try to apply animation to all the items in the nif the game will crash (probably the gloves that are part of each of the 3 main item sets). I'll update the file shortly, currently building the HDT variant (which is build item, test in game and find out where it clips when bent over or walking, then close game, start up OS and fix area's in question). I will say this. The stock mesh for the shirts in the Cove Diver, and both Dungeon Explorer nif's do not have enough vertices to handle full SH, SSH, Dreamshape, and Doublemelon. If you go max on all 4 of those for your character, it will clip... If I knew how to replace said mesh's with a high poly count/detail one I would.... Edit Edit... I hope this is the last edit... I fixed the Non HDT version, probably missed so grammar errors in the read me... And now for the other thing I twas working on... Bounce Didi Bounce Bounce Experimental HDT Dungeon Explorer set for Body Slide.rar And yes the Jacket is HDT so it bounces when she walks, kinda wish it flowed instead though. Now to start working on the other set....
Monsto Brukes Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Disregard, figured it out. )= Rather than deleting the post, you should have left it and added an [edit] with the solution. that way it can help others that search.
