Disappearing Head and ODPM

Recently I noticed that I was not able to use Calyp's Open Dragon Priest Masks (ODPM) along with Schlongs of Skyrim SoS because ODPM masks use slot #52.  So, after a little digging, I thought I could fix this.

 

I followed this guide.

I went through all the _0.nif and _1.nif files and changed the body slot part # to 44.  I then opened the CK and changed the body part for the armor and armor addon to 44.  

When I tried on the dragon priest mask in-game, my head disappeared and the mask was invisible.  
Can anyone fathom a guess at what I need to change to fix this?

try seeing if the meshes or textures are not recognized ergo not used. ran into a similar problem when i tried to use unp and cbbe but it was only on the hips of the heavier females i undid unp and relaoded cbbe and got it taken care of. hoe it helps

I did see the go.nif in the inventory window.  Maybe I'll try a different mask.

 

*EDIT*  So far no luck.  The mod doesn't change the textures.

Ok, looks like the textures are definately there.  I have traced the path as per what is listed in the nif.  I do not understand why it isn't working though.
 

Loading up Tes5Edit and going to look for conflicts.

Did you set the masks to head in CK? If you did that's probably might be your problem right there mask hair attachments and helmets all need to be set to either tail or attachment. If you don't your head will be invisible when you try to wear it and for hair if you set a hair attachment to hair you will be bald in game when you try to wear it. Helmets if they are full helmets are fine to be set as head but if the helmet has a opening then it would have to be set to tail or attachment as well or your head will be invisible.

I redid the ESP and it worked.  I must have messed something up the first time around.  Thank you for your help everyone.
