CeeTeeDee Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 hey, i want to correct some little problems with some of my favourite sevenbase conversions for example: i know that tits butt a niggling minor detail, so i'd do it myself if i knew how... have downloaded bodyslide + outfit studio 2, i reckon some minor breast bone changes would do it. so how do i then, i wouldn't bother normally, but em titties look so much nicer with the sexlab rough skeleton than with any other! probably no changes to the outfit are required... since its probably the hdt stretching... so does anyone know which of the xml settings would likely fix it?
blabba Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 You can't fix clipping with HDT xml tweaks. Well you can sort of, but all it does is just hide the REAL problem. The proper way to go about fixing the clipping issue you have there: 1. Fix wieghtings, so that armour weighting is the same as the body's 2. Test in-game, if clipping is gone and armour moves with the body correctly then congratulate yourself. 3. If your reading this, then step 2 didn't work, then the next thing is to deform EITHER the Body mesh OR the armour mesh depending on how bad the clipping is, it's vertex count in the area etc.. 4. This should 100% fix your clipping issues instead of just 'hiding' the problem. All the above steps are easily doable with free tools like Outfit Studio and Gerra6's Mesh Rigger. Though for more precision in mesh editing it's recommended to get an actual 3d editor...
Deep Red Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 If the mesh already fits snug against the body, you might have to reskin the armor to the body or tweak the weight paints by hand. Outfit Studio isn't the best tool for these kinds of things imo, so expect to see imperfections here and there. You're likely better off doing it with 3ds max or blender.
