Nite_Star Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 TESV.exe Application error, The application was unable to start correctly (0xc00007b). Click OK to close the application... OK any ideas as to why this happening, fresh install of windows 7, fresh install of Skyrim no mods nothing just the base game, tested on different HDD, And yet always the same, I must have downloaded about 5 times in the past 12 hours and always the same, verified everything and yet same problem. game and steam are both on same HDD all the time. Please help if you can. It allows me to set up me settings but when I try to run the game, this is what I get.
myuhinny Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Try CTRL ALT Delete find the steam.exe in your task manager and kill it wait a few and then relaunch steam again. I have had errors from steam before but usually killing steam.exe and then relaunching it fixes it.
Nite_Star Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 It ended up being a corrupt file during Windows 7 install... Installed windows with a better DVD-DRIVE and all is good.
