Quest "A Night to Remember" won't start!

Hello,

 

I started a new Game two days ago and tried to start the Daedric quest "A night to remember".

I found Sam in an Inn and finished the drinking quest (DA14start) but the actual Quest right after that (DA14) wont start.

 

At that time i had the most recent SD+ version installed, but got the quest started in earlier game just a week before.

But to make sure, i removed SD+ and a bunch of other Mods i feared could be the cause ( all Devious Devices stuff, Alternate start and everything else i installed lately) but nothing helped! Even with a new Savegame.

 

While googl'ing i got the answer that this bug would happen with earlier versions, in case one of the 3 NPCs used in the quest was dead.

While i had my doubt it was possible with a fresh game, i made sure ( prid/enable/resurrect) but still no change.

 

Right now i'm downloading a fresh Skyrim version from steam to try it on a modless version but i would still be thankfull if anyone that had this bug before could tell me how to fix this or got any ideas.

Are you using the Unofficial Skyrim Patch?  Which version?

 

From my experience,  when I was using version 19.1.3.2c, the quest started and ended without any problems.  When I updated USKP to v19.2.0.0a, I could not finish the quest; when meeting with Sanquine at the end, the game would crash.  Reverting back to v19.1.3 fixed the crashing.  I did not verify the latest USKP update, but I did not see anything in the changelog about the A Night to Remember quest so I'm still using 19.1.3.2c.

Yeah i was using version 2.0.0 (i think) which has worked for me before till now.

To be safe, i updated to 2.0.3 but it still doesnt work.

 

I kind worked around the problem with a "clean"-Skyrim in which i made a new game and started the quest, then replaced the clean version with my modded one.

Not ideal since i dont know the reason why it bugged and dont know what else might me bugged later on, but atleast it works for now =/

 

EDIT: Found the Mod so in case anyone else finds this post with the same problem:

 

I switched from NMM to MO today and after clean install -> installing mods with MO and a new savegame i still got the error.

So thanks to the easy disableling in MO i switched Mods off till i found the one causing the Problem.

 

I dont know why exactly, but "BecomeJarlOfIvarstead" was the mod causing the problem for me.

same thing for me, it was really "become jarl of ivarstead" :X

strange, i tested alot other mod (disable ect) but never thought that this mod make conflict, lool

If the mod is from the same author that made king of river helm then make sure to use TESVEdit on it and make sure it is clean. Riverhelm was a nightmare to fix.

 

And even after cleaning there was still some part i could not clean.
