Just wondering if there is a fix for CTDs occurring when the game "freezes" when opening inventory saving or just pausing?

How much crap/high poly crap do you have in your inventory? Once you hit x amount of crap in the inventory it will start to lag if you are carrying half a skyrim in your back pocket it will also do that if you have too many high poly outfits/armors in the inventory at the same time. It can cause lag and CTD's while scrolling through your inventory or when it tries to load all that crap up when you open your inventory. It can also cause problems with the forge as well where you will start getting CTD's when scrolling through the forge lists. Not sure on the saving and pausing.

Yes I have come to realize that after many a CTD so for my latest playthrough I have offloaded most of my inventory into different (very organized like) chest on a player's home.

I don't have all that much on my character at any given point, but it's not just the inventory is the menus in general. Just pausing the game I guess.

I'm actually using a modified ini alongside the 4gb patch, SSME and playing without ENB. It's not my specs because my machine is a beast, it can handle Metro Last light on Ultra running at 75-90 fps.
CTd just seem to happen when opening menus, as well as on load but I assume that has to do with Skyrim loading the errors along with the game.

4GB patch? That thing is ancient and bethesda already addressed the issue with one of the previous patches, having that will only introduce you more problems. Since you are saying you are not using ENB, do you have ENboost? You can have the benefit of ENBoost without using the graphics of a ENB preset in case you don't know. Again give this a read, it's for your own good: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50214/?

I'm not using ENBboost, if what you're asking is if I mistakenly added those lines to the Skyrim.ini I didn't.

I don't think it's a memory allocation issue as much as an issue when freezing and restarting scripts, the problems become exacerbated when saving during combat or opening menus right after saving. Basically anytime that the game tries to run multiple scripts simultaneously it has trouble freezing and restarting them. It's even more common when using menu hotkeys as the drastic stop seems to be worse.

At any rate, thanks for your suggestions man.
