So yeah. Silverlight decided to up and die on me, and is now all sorts of fucked up and refused to install now. So. I need access to netflix. I'm on windows 7, and I use chrome. According to a friend of mine, IE 11 still doesn't work on windows 7, for netflix. So. Is there ANYWAY to get chrome or firefox some app that will let me use the HTML5 "version" of netflix videos instead of it telling me to install silverlight?

(As for the silverlight problem, ugh. Long story short, it is stuck on fucking 99% and won't finish the install. I did a full clean uninstall of silverlight using a .cmd file, restarted the computer, and the thing still hangs.)

Unfortunately, as long as some video streaming sites insist on using one or other form of proprietary technology, you may have to sit it out using Silverlight, or switch over to another service that uses HTML5.
