OBSE and Mod Organizer

Ok. simple question, probably has been asked a billion times. How in the name of all that is holy do you get OBSE to load with Mod Organizer. I have tried the work around options mentioned here: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/21806-obse-decided-to-call-it-quits-and-it-drove-me-insane/?p=536131

That doesn't work and, in fact, now whenever I launch something in MO I get an error that says, "failed to create log file. no log available: Access is denied. (5)"

Well I find it amusing that I cannot change the read-only option of the log file in question. Even windows says, "fuck you! access is denied!" Lol, I'm an administrator but apparently I need to be God himself to change this file. So if someone can enlighten me, a fellow gamer, I would really appreciate it.

Try to disable UAC if you are on Win 7 go to start menu or control panel and search "UAC" then click "Change User Account Control settings" and drag slider down to the minimum. Should help you with administrator issues. And my MO launches OBSE perfectly fine :P

So correct me if I'm wrong but aren't you supposed to install obse normally in the Oblivion directory outside the data file where the oblivion executable resides? Then I have Mod Organizer set to steam app id 22330 and the load mechanism set to script extender in the workaround tab of the MO settings. Obse should work if I then launch the oblivion executable directly from MO right? Well, either way it most certainly does not. I also just installed version 21 of obse. When I get into game Lovers comes up saying I'm an ass for not installing obse and reading the requirements to run Lovers PK

If you have the steam version then you MUST install Oblivion into your steam directory.

If you are using steam.....you REALLY should have steam installed outside of the program files directory.  If you "do" have steam installed in the program files directory don't despair, it can be moved without having to redownload all your games.

Lol, nope solved it on my own. I had been playing Skyrim and Fallout NV so much I was lead to believe that I was supposed to launch Oblivion from Mod Organizer. In reality, once you set the load mechanism to script extender in the workarounds in MO you just launch the game from the Steam menu like you normally would. THAT will start the game with MO in the background loading up all your mods WITH obse as well. Lol, took me a long time and a lot of reading to find that on the Mod Organizer nexus page.
