lidowxxx Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I will list a few mods that used to be essential or look excellently done in almost every way but I have to keep from introducing to my saves. Share your thoughts/experiences with us on this subject! 1. Player head tracking: Have had this for at least 2 play-through, used to think I couldn't live without it, but since the time Sexlab added expression features, they started not getting along with each other, stuck expressions, sudden loss of expressions, all kinds of weirdness. Currently keeping in my mods archive, don't think I will get it back to my mods list any time soon, not until it fixes this issue. 2. Enhanced blood textures: I was in awe the first I discovered it, much bloodier combat, blood pools, bleeding during combat......it has almost everything I could ask for for such a mod, but the amount of scripts it runs in combat kinda scares me away, I have also seen quite many reports of CTDs related to it possibly because of script overload. 3. Dragon combat overhaul: Makes dragon combat much more interesting, and apparently more difficult, so no more easy dragon bones/scales for you! What turns me off is dragons often dive in and out solid objects, mountains, ground.... for me it's a huge immersion breaker and totally ruins the mod, had it in my last character save, not planning to add it soon.
Veladarius Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I have pulled all three of these from my game for the issues you mentioned. I am using Deadly Dragons right now and have not had any issues with it but have not found any replacement for the other two as of yet.
Vancien Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Get in the know. Mod Organizer SSME Free Memory I use Enhanced Blood and do not have a single issue. This of course is after I made the switch to Mod Organizer.
shadowlord445 Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I've never had a problem with Headtracking myself.
crusher Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I can't live without Player Head Tracking, unfortunately it is buggier than it should be, and the mod seems abandoned by original author, there is someone pitching-in to repair, but the mod still breaks when using RaceMenu and other various mods. . I've actually dropped RaceMenu for a short time, as I've modded presets for characters anyway, and want to see if it helps mitigate CTDs, had a flawless run several hours last night. Likewise, FNIS was updated yesterday and the update seems to have really smoothed out, 'load-save' issues. Anything I tried to load, loaded. Player Head Tracking would be a great feature to integrate into Immersive First Person, it's actually pretty cool when you're in first person and you character notices things you wouldn't otherwise notice. Another thing nice about Immersive First Person is some of the features work in third person as well. Think I'll go on a low script diet for a while. Just SL plus one or two other Sex Combat mods, and few non-SL mods with scripts. Otherwise running about 300 mods (200 .esp) Can't decide which Combat mod to use: Duel or Deadly Combat, not sure which cost more overhead. Really like the threat of being caught flat-footed and stagger-locked by Deadly Combat, and also being able to time-block to reflect shouts and spells with wards. But Duel seems really well balanced to legendary game-play. ahh, too many choices. Someone needs to do a multi-play mod, seems to be the only thing lacking.
lidowxxx Posted March 7, 2014 Author Posted March 7, 2014 Get in the know. Mod Organizer SSME Free Memory I use Enhanced Blood and do not have a single issue. This of course is after I made the switch to Mod Organizer. That is pretty basic, dude, I have all the things you mentioned except free memory, I personally don't see the need of it, the last time I got a CTD was a week ago. I guess I am kinda picky, anything MAY lead to potential problems is a no go for me, enhanced blood textures falls into that category. I have pulled all three of these from my game for the issues you mentioned. I am using Deadly Dragons right now and have not had any issues with it but have not found any replacement for the other two as of yet. You can give this a try: enhanced mighty dragons http://erkeilmods.altervista.org/skyrim/enhanced-mighty-dragons/ It doesn't conflict with deadly dragons, you can use both, but be warned it will take you MUCH MUCH longer to kill a dragon in combat and you can easily get your ass whooped especially on higher difficulties, I learned it the hard way . Unlike dragon combat overhaul, it doesn't use script.

I have been using SSME since shortly after it was released and has definitely improved things. I have not used enhanced Blood for so long I don't miss it anymore. I probably won't switch to MO until my Skyrim install explodes for some reason as I have not reinstalled in a year, especially since I don't remember what part of what texture mod I used.
Uno Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I'm roleplaying as a maniac assasin who doesn't care to see anyone's faces, in fact, I avoid the cities so I don't care the head tracking mod. I used it a long time ago, but the fucker ruined my saves and I quitted it for once and all. Enhanced blood never gave me problems, and last I can live with the buggy DCO.

On Nigtmare difficulty 9 or 10 the dragons can eat through 500HP with 1 melee attack unblocked or one fire breath. And thats when I was lvl60+ rocking 600+ Armor Class. Heavy Armor, Block, 1H and most combat skills at 80+, Fire, Frost and Shock resistences were at 70%, Magic Resistence was at 50%. Look on the Nexus page, those dragons rock as much as 500 Armor class as well as 10K HP on a high enough difficulty. On difficulty 10 Alduin rocks 25K HP and 500 Armor Class.
lordofthedread Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I keep only dragon combat overhaul from these 3 you mentioned. Blood textures are not worth the hassle due to the amount of scripts they use, they look nice but theres way to heavy scripting. Same goes for player headtracking I can definitly lkive without it.
blabba Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I've been running Enhanced Blood Textures for well over a year now, can't say it's ever been a cause of my CTD problems. Same thing with Deadly Dragons (the non-beta version) and Dragon Combat Overhaul. Then again, until I got freemem, I kept getting CTD's cuz of the heavy script loads from Wet&Cold and Enhanced Blood textures and whatnot. I also used to use Crimson Tide back when enhanced blood textures was just a texture mod, but that mod died and Enhanced blood took over. As for DCO... yea it's got it's quirks but still forgivable (in my eyes) And player headtracking, I couldn't care less which way my dovahkiin's head is facing!
