Caturday Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Ello, I was wondering if there were any mods that add more diversity to skyrims population, it doesnt really matter if its just bandits or also other NPC's. I know theres a lot of mods that add NPC's, but as mentioned, they only add, Id like a change, if only adding is an option, well, one that doesnt overload? I had one that was 3gig in size(came with voices and quests) but it simply overfilled my taverns. Any suggestions?
srayesmanll Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 There is Immersive Patrols, which adds more NPCs to the countryside. There is Inconsequential NPCs - no quests, just some basic NPCs - guards for carriages (not compatible with Touring Carriages, in that the guards don't travel with the carriages), guard for Maven, flower girls and skooma addicts in Riften, etc. No quests involved, just generic NPCs. Both of these are on Nexus. This link ( http://erkeilmods.altervista.org/skyrim/welcome/ ) goes to a site that has mods previously on Nexus. The populated series by RellioSavini (sp?) adds some NPCs several different areas. The mod that adds more bandits to forts/towers/etc can increase the difficulty (adds like 7-8 more bandits to the outside of Bleak Falls Barrow for example). Combined with the Populated Dungeons Caves Ruins (which adds 3x-4x the draugr to BFB), Bleak falls barrow can be a tough one for a single character. The beauty of Immersive Patrols and the Populated series is that there are no scripts (the populated road mod can add scripts if you choose) so if you decide you don't like it, you can remove them fairly safely. PS - they will fill the taverns...
hryh23k9823u Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 The 3 mentioned are very good and I'd say they are the best at what they do. Immersive Patrols it's pretty much a must have in my opinion. Inconsequential NPC's is very good, not a single problem, just new NPC's living their lives and don't caring a lot about you. And the Populated series, i've only tried some of the first modules, but Iremember it was pretty well done. (Edit I saw the fourth mentioned, guard on carriages, I knew it, it adds guards on carriages, as they name suggest xD)
