Skyrim's NPC Make-Over?

So after spending a lot of time making my character the prettiest little elf in all the land, I realize that the rest of Skyrim has been beaten with the business end of the ugly stick. What can I do to help my poor Skyrim people look better?

 

I have used "Better Females by Bella" previously, but had heard that it was not a very good mod. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

i use that one http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27427/? (npcs of dibella) , its not a top model like /sad , but at least cover all expansions.

I have used these two, but prefer the first one (it's a lighter mod and only effects females). Using the first one also applies your own body and texture (makeup) changes as well. But these two also require Apachii hairs so you'll need that as well.

Right after that one I place SBF (in the load order so this overwrites it).

And I use this (just for the clothing).... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/5564/? ....and this (for the armors).... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34160/? ....to get the girls to all dress a little nicer (more slutty is probably a better term ).

 

All in all this allows me to use just 4 or 5 mods and I get all the women changed over into something better looking and wearing better clothing/armor. It's a lot of bang for your buck.

I don't think my way would be the only way to achieve a Skyrim-wide transformation. There must be other options as well. But this is the best set of mods I've found that give me lots of changes without filling up my mods list or hitting me in the performance department. I like to keep it simple. And in the end the women are freakin' sweet, too!

 

For example, here's what these mods did to Lydia and Jenassa (who's normally HIDEOUS)...

If you want a perfect makeover with even meshes distribution use EBD http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34637/

 

A little bit tedious to use at first but seem the new version out this week will fix this.

 

You can even use it with SBF or other mods using the spells allowing you to exclude certain NPC from being touched by the mod.

Inhabitants of Skyrim, one of the ones linked by gvman, gets my vote. The others I've tried make every female look like they have too much make-up, or only changes females, or is split into too many ESPs, or so forth.

 

I use Babes of Skyrim's DLC-only plugin for Dawnguard and Hearthfire, and SBF Followers and MBWS' Serana on top of those.

The MBWS followers are really nicely done. I think I have three versions of Serana here, two of Valerica and one Frea.
